what happened one piece o.O???
Where's the problem? It sold totally around 3 Million copies, and it's been there for a month now iirc, these numbers/rankings are for last week's sales only.

3 million copies? i thought it was around 13? unless you made a typo.

Or you mean a single volume? i'm not sure though, correct me if i'm wrong.
This volume to be more precise, V67, that guy was wondering why it's so low, from what I understood.

I don't think 3 million copies for a single volume is by any means "low", not even quarter of that lol.

Maybe he's wondering about why it sold so "little" this week or its ranking for this week (it's hard to rank high when there are many new manga releases for this week)... idk.

I know, but One Piece being in the 14th place can be confusing for some people, not everyone knows how these rankings work after-all.

Oh, Well yeah there is that, i've also noticed some mangas, for example, a certain volume sells, say this week, then a month or two from now the very same volume sells about half the amount it sold on its first week, kinda complicated.

Yeah, see'ing as it's one of the leading Shounens, 14th place doesn't seem very convincing, but yeah, these rankings are confusing sometimes lol, or rather, all the time if you ask me.

It's not too complicated. Most people buy a release pretty quickly, because they've read previous volumes and want the next ASAP. A much smaller number doesn't get around to it until a week or two later. And even smaller numbers wait until 3-4 weeks later. Similar to DVD/BD or CDs, though CDs tend to be the least front-loaded.

Most manga don't make the top 50 for more than 1-2 weeks, even less make it got 3-4 weeks because most people who are going to buy it already have by then. The latercomers usually aren't enough to keep a title above the weekly thresholds for long. Unless you're One Piece, where "latecomers" can total 40k in a week because the overall fanbase is so massive. Not gonna happen for titles that only do 40k total in the first place.

As for 14th, remember that the rankings are weekly. One Piece's sales in the past week were the 14th highest for that week. Obviously when it was first released and did most of its sales, it was 1st. And it's by far the best selling total sales of any manga.

Welp I'm just happy it looks like SAO will have season 2 and so on.

Although I am soooo curious as to how they're going to put together GGO arc and Mother's Rosario into 1 season since Alicization IS going to need a season of it's own i think...

Not necessarily, there is no guarantee an anime will get a second season even if it sold over 100k.

true, but considering the light novel sales (and probably the anime sales when the DVD/Blue-rays come out) + popularity...

Yeah, the light novel sales are pretty awesome, at this rate it might even surpass that Biblia something, as for the anime sales, well it's been ranking first for awhile, 2 days ago the estimations for volume 1 were 60k, today it's 86k. but then again, stalker isn't always accurate, though you can rest assured that SAO will be the top seller of this year.
