Of course Batman Begins and the Dark Knight. He did a great job in Howl's Moving Castle as well. He is great in everything he does though. |

Ummmm... hmmm.... TDK, American Psycho, The Prestige (excellent movie!!) and that one movie he did as a kid that was directed by Speilberg (I can't remember the name for the life of me!). Personally, I loved Howl, but that's certainly not his best work. Least favorite: Harsh Times.... yeah, it was some harsh times watching it! Piffle! ![]() |

It's called Empire of the Sun MotokoAramaki, such an amazing performance while he was so young. ![]() Alucard and Seras |

He did a great job in it though, the movie just sucked. I didn't like Captain Corelli's Mandolin as well, that was hard for me to get though, but yet again, Bale did a good job, the plot sucked and so did some of the other actors. hahah. 1eyedjoker said: It's called Empire of the Sun MotokoAramaki, such an amazing performance while he was so young. That's it! Yeah, I guess he's one of those child actors who actually became a respectable person (few and far between, if you ask me). I was disappointed when he didn't do his own V/O work for Gotham Knight, though. Did you know he was in Pocahontas? I swear to god, he was. He played a minor character, so I'm not sure if he's in the credits or not. ![]() |

He blew me away in The Machinist. Of course Batman, but The Machinist disturbed me in a number of ways. |

The Machinist.... isn't that the one where he dropped a huge amount of weight? He looked like he was super anorexic and it made me sad. I'll have to watch it, if ever I get the chance. ![]() |

I would have to go with The Machinist or The Prestige When I get sad, I stop being sad and be awesome instead. True story. |

Batman his best performance? Really? Thats sad. If you say Batman is his best performance, you have not seen enough of his work. The way Bruce Wayne and Batman are written in these movies is predictable and stale. Bale does his job, but he is being held back by preconcieved ideas on who these characters are and what they do. He has no room to add touches of himself, taking away from his performance on an overall basis. If you want to see a movie where he performs well, see The Machinist or Rescue Dawn. I have not seen Im Not There, so I can't comment on his abilities in that movie. I can add American Psycho to this list, but I feel like he was still finding himself when he made this movie. He did well in the movie, but his performance had its flaws near the end. |
