well, it was pretty fucked up. id have to say that it will leave a lasting impression. id give it a 8/10. The story was pretty good... but twisted. I nearly vomited a few times and i even skipped a few pages sometimes. That last battle had to be the most twisted. Anyways a good read... i think haha |

Give him some credit, he showed us something so surreal except we come out thinking... this could be true. i think one of the most evocative scenes in the manga that kept coming up was the rape of the high school girl which ichi watched (not sure if its his memories or the jiji makin it up). Later on we find out how he came into the situation through the phone girl. I think the mangaka was quite intelligent so please dont insult him off handedly. |

the fighting was just epic. No one was spared, even Haneko or Ryuu. Just shows the fucked up side of gangs. There are some parts where i just had to skip over because i couldnt handle it, |

This was great manga, really sick, but great. Akumetsu, Alive, Anne Freaks, Battle Royale, Duds Hunt, Gantz, Ibitsu, Uzumaki etc are feeling pretty normal after reading Ichi The Killer. Go for the movie called; Danny the Dog. Resembles somewhat this, not just the name.      |

Sick? yes. Most twisted out there, not even closely. I loved this manga, it keept itself on the right side of the line of what i can read for entertainment. But as i said there are works that are far more twisted (for example most things by Kago and Uziga, hate those things) |

a really entertaining read. I've been a fan of the film for a long time, so it was great to finally read the manga. Kakihara is such an amazing character, it seems even in the end he could not escape his humanity. the only one who can grab the sun is me. |
