| I hate to say this, but unfortunately, no, there is not going to be season 2. This is my favorite anime, yes my favorite, not one of my favorite, it's my absolute favorite, but there really isn't going to be a second season, kinda sad, I already read the manga, but I still remember the beauty of the anime, the soundtracks and songs, and the animated Urabe smile <3 I suggest you to go read the manga if you truly love the anime. |

| MGX has a bigger chance of getting a 2nd season (let alone have the rest of the series animated) than Discommunication has of getting an anime adaptation. And the chances of a full-fledged Discommunication anime existing are practically non-existent. So basically, don't expect Mysterious Girlfriend X to get a second season in this timeline of the universe. But in the event it does happen, I hope whomst'ever is directing it will take up the task of correct Riichi's mistakes with the Idol arc. It doesn't matter if its heavily edited beyond recognition or is removed altogether, please avoid animating that travesty of an arc. On a side note... Petitions don't work. I know a lot of you came here from fucking Kissanime, but please do not link that stupid ass petition made by some freeloading fuck. The Blu-Rays sold poorly, making it a financial risk for Hoods Entertainment. Petitions do nothing but show content creators that the consumers are entitled shit-heads who take and give nothing in return; in this case, it's money. You guys treat the medium like it's fucking McDonalds; just consume and consume. If you want to see a second season, show your support for the series by purchasing the Blu-Ray's and manga that's currently being localized and published by the wonderful folks at Vertical Comics. In fact, the localized manga prints may be our last chance at showing Ueshiba that there are people who want to see more of Tsubaki and Urabe. Otherwise, be content in seeing MGX dwindle off into obscurity. |
