| According to Dengeki Playstation magazine, Compile Heart's RPG "Hyperdimension Neptunia" was announced to get an anime adaptation. The newest version Hyperdimension Neptunia V will be released on August 30th. | I wonder who is going to handle this? Idea Factory have been giving their otome game series to DEEN, but this is from a different subdivision (Compile Heart), so I could see another studio doing it. Not that it really matters. I am expecting mindless fun and not much more. If people aren't finding it fun, I won't watch it. If they are, I probably will. |

If you don't like cute anime girls, you might as well just write it off now. Most of its appeal is from video game consoles being turned into moe girls, and using typical anime tropes and such. Part of the reason its so good though is that the art is amazing, it has a top tier voice cast and its really funny. Gameplay leaves some to be desired, but its essentially a half VN/half RPG game anyway, so gameplay isn't that important to it. |
