I quite enjoy the humor. It does feel a little cheesy or forced at times, but I think that's part of it's charm. It probably wouldn't work in other series but I think it fits well in this one. And this... destructo22 said: Izuki's puns are to die for. |

I'm always find myself grinning or smiling through an episode I adore the dead pan humour from kuroko and it's the humour is quite good overall. It's the right amount too |

The comedy isn't really terrible, but it's not my cup of tea. It feels really forced and too fast. Of course, at least one joke per episode ends up being a bit funny, but I hate it when they try too much. Even Bleach had a better humour. The only gag I really hate in this show is the one with Kuroko jumping out of nowhere. It wasn't funny the first time and it won't be funny the 100th time either. Oh well, I'm not that easily amused. |

The humor is quite decent. I agree that they could made it more funny but then again if you make the scenes very intense and the humor too humorous, i don't think it would balance well. It would be like first eating meat and then jump to ice cream in a second and then continue eating meat again. Since the humor is mild, it fits well with the intensity of the show. |

fheon said: The humor fits much better in the manga Usually I would say that humor works better while it's animated but in Kuroko no Basket it works so much better in manga form. It doesn't feel forced at all beacause it comes at you in 1 or two panels and you read it quickly. In the anime there's a little bit of a drag at times when the humor comes up. To me it doesn't matter though since I don't watch this for the humor. ...but it does take a little bit of the weight off when you have all those episodes that are one game after the other. |

I would've agreed with you in the beginning, but the curry scene was too funny ![]() |

It really depends on the kind of humor you like. I think these 'jokes' as most of you call them are not really meant to be jokes at all. I simply see it as characters being silly and I quite like it that way. But then again, I can easily adapt to almost any show (if it isn't terrible) to enjoy it as much as possible. I can watch an episode and laugh several times if I don't think about it to much but I can also watch that same episode for the first time and not laugh at all if I tell myself to think if it's really funny or not. But if I did that I wouldn't laugh very often, and they say laughter is good for you, so... but now I'm rambling, so I'll stop here. |

As part of the story they were going to attend a training camp and couldn't afford to have their meals professionally made. There's only 3 distinct possiblities that can come from that; a person is a terrible cook, a really good cook, or just average. The first two options are just more interesting than being an average or unremarkable cook. I'd rather hear "Delicious" or "Yuck" a thousand times over seeing people just calming eating food with little to no expression.(I get that enough in real life enough) |

I think the humor works quite well in this show. It does it's job of giving a little relief from the tension without killing the atmosphere. I don't think it's laugh out loud funny all the time, but the comedic timing is well done so jokes that aren't that original still have some punch to them. Like almost everything with this show the humor flows together perfectly with everything else that is going on. |

Kuroko saying something as he speaks naturally, and that creates humor is quite funny. Though I already predicted that Kuroko was able to get the bread in that out-of-tournament ep. long before that. |

People take humor differently. I for one found the humor hilarious. |
