In RPGs I usually go for the mage or ranger class. But since this is SAO I'd like to have dual wield, but since it's a unique skill that is given to the player with the fastest reaction time and assuming it isn't me, I would like to wield either a storm halberd or a double ended spear and also a katana in its sheath. I had thought about this 7 years ago what I would be if I created something similar to a VRMMORPG. I'm quite antisocial/shy player so I'd probably go solo for a while, and just level up quickly. I would focus and train on my speed/Dex, strength, and Endurance. I would later when I'm more comfortable with my surroundings, people, and my own skills to support another player then I would join a friendly guild. While I'm a solo player and strong enough. I would hunt down and jail or kill if necessary players in murderer guilds who just find it fun killing other players knowing/taking the risk that the players they kill will also die in real life. I would like to think that I could be strong enough to join the front lines and survive. Completing the game is basically the ultimate aim. Survival is a close second. And getting rid of Murdering Guilds is a close third. Throughout the game I would like to make good friends who I could actually hang out with in real life as in SAO your real face bar Heathcliff is shown and your height, though I'm short. If I haven't given up on escaping I would keep on fighting. But If I have, I would just try to live a quiet life in the countryside.

Like Elisabeth I'd probably be a blacksmith, or like Asuna a cook. I'm not very strong, so I couldn't be like Kirito and be fighting all the time. I'd probably just be the healer, and fight here and there but not main bosses :P

I don't know why people are so obsessed with dual blades. I know you can kill really fast and look really cool, but you never think that you're actually vulnerable swing the blades around. You get tired pretty fast, too.

In the beginning, i would solo and focus on leveling myself to get stronger. Then when I get strong enough to solo bosses, I would go on a permanent vacation and join a guild and train them. What class would I be? I would have the Holy Sword skill. For those who don't know what that is, it's basically using a sword and shield.

I've always liked dual blades mainly because it focuses on speed and power. But I've always known that using dual blades is 100% offence and minimal defense. In reality and SAO using dual wield wouldn't suit most people as you can get easily killed especially against bosses if you go in alone or are too slow. I think that's why the skill dual wield was only given to the player with the fastest reaction time as they could use it to its optimum and have the best chance of survival with it. In my opinion using dual wield is like going all or nothing, all out.

Me in SAO?

I have found my mentality to oddly fit with alot of today's anime heros. I don't mean their physical strenght and all, but really their way of acting and logical sense etc. Which often leads me to spoiling myself accidentally.

ANYWAY.

I probably would do the same as Kirito, except I would fight with a katana. Aahh, the japanese sword, weapon of choice. I would train/grind nonstop. Get money from drops and buy food etc with that money, instead of wasting precious time training secondary skills. I would solo my way as far as I could before joining a clan or party. I'm not the socialist type of person in videogames anyway so soloing is really what I do in anything I play. I'm not an anti-teamplay player but it's just my way of thinking. I'd fight bosses and monsters as often as I could, and knowing myself, i'd probably nolife that game 24/24.

That would be me, definitely.

PS: I'm not asian, but 90% of the friends I send to SAO or other animes that have a black, medium length haired main character, say that I really look like, and behave like those. Yet I don't share that opinion for the physical side, I do find myself behaveing near identically *sight*.

Meh, if I could exchange my current life to experience what "kirito" experienced in that game, I totally would with no hesitation. At the end of the line, he lives anyway so why not?

I would probably start solo and level up really quick.
Also I would hide my face to create a mystery about me.
After I earned fame I would start an anonymous gilt without any rules in which everybody could enter.
But if anyone case trouble from inside or outside I would hunt them down myself.

If starting new ( as in I just got the game and it was just released ) I would start off by getting a few people and go together to start power leveling and getting gold. I then would begin a guild in which the goal of it is to obviously become strong and well known, but lead this guild and treat every member fairly. At the same time, I would wanna relax and enjoy the game. The same as Kirito did from time to time. Enjoy what has been handed to you. I would treat the game realistically. The same way Asuna and Kirito fell in love. Just because its a game doesn't mean it doesn't mean anything, As for play style I want to wield pretty much the same thing as Kirito wielded. I might try a shield, but the idea of have that speed advantage seems really nice.

I'd prob spend my time leveling up all of the crafting professions. If I end up making a pretty penny I would put out a notice for rare materials and pay players that are a higher level, combat wise, than me to farm them. Once I got that supply line set up I'd take all of the extra money and donate it to the orphanage.

Class wise I'd go beast tamer and go for pets that have support abilities, like heals, buffs etc.

Probably use either a bow or katana. The only reason I would consider being a tamer is for the company =P

Sounds cool, the idea of being on the front, but I can't say for sure because I haven't tried it yet I don't know what else there is to do (besides sit back, which I'd never do). Otherwise, it sounds good.

Or just look for Asuna <3

I'd probably play with friends, but we'd solo up to lvl 30 then reform to make a guild - since soloing is far more effective than group in early stages. EIther that or I'd probably join Aincrad Liberation Force, as I like to see myself as a Law Enforcer. I' d probably be a sword + shield since I tend to play tanks a lot in mmorpgs and I'd prioritize STR over DEX greatly. I don't know how the leveling system works, but say if you got 10 stats per level, then I'd put 8-9 in STR per level.
And as always, keep a large margin for safety.

One of the reasons i liked SAO so much was because Kirito resembles me a lot. Looks, fighting style / spirit and being a loner.

I would either be a solo player or form a small guild like the Moonlit Black Cats where everyone is friendly and kind. I hate huge guilds with dozens / hundreds of players where you don't know the majority of theme.

I would definitely want to be in the front lines, i would reach what i could solo / with my small guild and then when the bosses start to require more people i / my guild would group with theme just for the bosses.

I would buy a house in one of my favorite floors, maybe in Lindas, 48th floor.

Explore every meter of the castle and try my best to be the best player.

pfff.... quite the question.

if i just say what pops into my mind, it will be the following:

i will be (mostly) a solo player, with thougth of the other players. two one-handed longswords are my weapons of choise. for stats i will be focusing mostly on DEX before STR, for it will make me quick and deadly against monsters and bosses. on the side: when i am not grinding i will try and be a blacksmith, so that i can make weapons and armor (or armour) for myself and others.

I think I will consider this live in SAO as my only life at that moment. because you can't turn away from it unless it is cleared. but ofcourse everone knows that.

P.S: if you see any bad grammer or spelling. i apolygise. i was never really good at grammar with Dutch as my native speach.

Okay, full apologies if this ends up long winded...

I am personally one of those people who cannot stand being alone, and needs others around him. (it's a pain when u throw in my lack of social skills...) So I would start by grouping up with others, forming a strong team to follow behind the front lines. It doesn't need to be a large group, maybe a dozen or so with like minds as I.

I'd rather be a supportive type of combatant, relying on my shield to defend others. (I actually do medieval combat irl with SCA and I am good with a bastard sword two handed in emergencies)

I would only take the gear I need, and sell off spare gear to those who have a lower level than me for low prices. I would also help train those who needed help.

As a side note, I would like to purchase a nice house eventually. And fall in love along the way. :P

And really, I would just hope that one day everything would change for the better for myself and those around me, whether inside SAO or outside, I wouldn't mind.

One day maybe it might happen, and I'd love to be there when it does.

I'd most likely focus on weilding daggers and probably 2-handed swords in SAO. I've always had an allure to daggers in any RPG and I'd like to focus on speed of attacks, so I think they'd be a good fit for me.

My stat build would focus on STR and SPD. I'd go for a somewhat 'Glass Cannon' build overall, but I'd do my best to get light equipment with good enough stats to offset the lack in DEF and work towards mastering <<Battle Healing>>. I’d also train to master the <<Acrobatics>> stat in the game since I think it would be awesome to be able to maneuver over structures and jump at least 15 feet or so in the air.

As for what I'd do for an everyday life in the game? I'd run a guild called Midnight Owl, a guild that focuses on counter-acting against PKing guilds like Laughing Coffin. I'd also hunt for weapons and other equipment based around various mythologies, and probably work towards mastering my black-smithing.

If most toxic anime fans' criteria and standards for considering problematic instances in anime "acceptable" were made into books, they'd be full of plot holes.

How would I live in SAO? Wander around Aincard, trying new skills, hunt down the Black Swordsman for all eternity, avoid girls, give a cold and distant glare to everyone. Live like a mercenary with no home. Give the Darker and Edgier to Sword Art Online. One's destiny is never set on stone.
