Inspired by topic "Your life in SAO" I thought that it would be nice to have some place where we could impersonate ourself in SAO world, after all what I love the most in Sword Art is that it was written in a style that is possible to happen in real life. Well it mostly wont happen in this or next year, but in 20 or 30 is quite possible. Just look at game graphic 15 years ago and now. I hardly believe that we will get something as good as FullDrive but something that would allow complete utilization at least our senses of view and hearing (others are pretty hard to implement without Matrix like technology :P)

Without further delay I'll start :

Most likely in SAO I'd try every single kind of weapon. To get feel of every one that there is. Main goal in mind is to create fighting style that would rely on using many weapon in one fight confusing enemy, and utilize the best of every weapon.

IT comes mostly from my hoarding habit, aka "this thing will for sure be useful in the future", as well as hoping for Unlimited Blade Works skill in SAO (dreams) :D

As for me I would like to fight at the front lines while using dual blades and on free days from frontline fighting just soloing some dungeons alone to get some money and level up as much as possible, otherwise I would just take it easy and live in a quiet and less person swarmed place.

What´s that supposed to mean? It is only my own way how I would live in SAO.
If it resembles anything from the Anime or Light Novel then it is not my fault,
that´s just how I would live if I were in SAO.

i think its because of your name that its funny

i've already answered this question before in the LN forum, ill just repeat:

i would be a solo player, i would focus on two handed sword skills like katana and grind within the dungeons to level up as much as possible

i will probably be focusing on STR and DEX stats, with a little more focus on DEX than STR, i will wear light equipment that focuses on mobility rather than defence

i would sell the rare drops from the monsters i kill and make my money that way while also keeping the drops that look appealing, i will be saving up for a custom made katana and a custom made outfit, what i would like to wear is a black overcoat similar to kirito but with a hood, sorta like assassins creed, along with a side cape like ezio, if possible in the game i would also wear a mask, something like a hollow mask, i would build a pure black katana with blue decorations and a smaller wakizashi with a similar design.

i would probably live as close as possible to wherever the frontlines are, on my free time i would mostly be questing or farming for rare materials, i will also go bounty hunting every now and then to give Pkers a run for their money, i will also be a player for hire that can do odd jobs such as body-guarding and finding out information

my online ID would be Zero_Kamikaze or just Zero because thats my most common gaming name that my friends know me by

I'd be that one camper in the inn, just relaxing until people somehow clear the game.

I would be a tamer and use a bow, because i love hunter/ranger classes and it's probably the best for solo playing.

I would focus on mobility, for dodging and kiting.

And I would wear a black and red leather gear, coz it's the most badass color combination i know :P

I would spend every single minute I dont rest, fighting solo on the front lines. Getting my level and gear up as fast as possible, trying to outlevel everyone. Selling stuff I dont need to save up lots of money for.. god knows what. I'd go for speed rather then strenght or armor, and a fast weapon over a heavy weapon. Prefer swords over any other weapon. I would not buy a house or anything, and rest in a inn everynight closest to where the current frontlines are.

Couple years later:
I would be overpowered and duel/kill everybody that looks at me with a wrong face! Stop progressing at floor 99 and have fun being overpowered the rest of my days. Also at this point I'd buy a castle or something huge. Also get a nice looking wife, and a army of maids to serve and clean the castle.

I would be a beast tamer cuz it seems fun. I would probably solo but wouldn't overexert myself trying to finish quickly so wouldn't join the lead group even if I could. I'd go after monsters that would drop rare practical items and ones which would sell for a lot of money until I earn enough to buy a good house and then just enough to get buy would be fine.

Quite a bunch of individuals we have here
are you all really so anty social, that you would go solo all the time?
Rly ppl, Soling is not that easy, and funny as you might think.

I would for sure try to get to some kind of middle size Guild, that would allowed me to be a bit more elastic with my sword skill (allowing for e.g multiple weapons skills) what would be unthinkable as a solo player(keep in mind that Kirito had only ONE skill that didn't contribute to his Survival).
As well as its easier, and I'm not talking about fighting with monsters. But about your mental health. When there is someone on whom you can relay or who can relay on you it make living in this cage completely different. Yes there are bad side of getting attached to others, aka their death or (what might be much worst) their betrayal. But you are not left for your self most of the time.

^ not really anti-social, i just have more fun when im surrounded by monsters instead of a group of friends, i guess im just a battle freak that way

i will have friends but i won't be partying regularly unless i/they need a hand taking down bosses or other players

ill have friends at hand who are stronger or as strong that can back me up when i really need it and ill be there for them when they need me

First priority would be to get to a decent level.
Second priority is to find a active guild.

I prefer to play solo but if I must, I'm fine with parties. I can say I'm pretty anti-social when it comes to strangers in mmo's. Basically meaning, it's somewhat difficult for me to interact with people even online. I'm not one of those persons who personality heavily change in-game.I've never really mind helping people though, assuming they're not spamming me for help.

@NecroMac, for your very first post, multiple weapons would not confuse a monster. Monsters in the game have a set AI they follow and your weapon of choice would probably have no change in it. Of course, PvP would be different but looking at the game itself, changing weapon in the middle of a fight would be... a bad choice.

/insert super special awesome text

Err... There aren't bows in SAO...

And I would do what I usually do in MMORPGs. That is to solo grind on safer, lower level monsters for a much longer time just cuz I don't want to die. I would try and use a one handed light sword. (Maybe a short sword) I would also use light armor and focus on DEX. I probably wouldn't be on the front lines unless it was necessary or something. Also I would probably spend some points on non-combat skills like smithing.
I would stay solo until some guild wanted me to join them. I don't know why but I never make the first move in anything. Always reaction. So a pretty lonely life. XD

Prepare for trouble... Make it doub--
SHUT UP!

my typical routine in getting started on an online game is:

1. do some research about the game, what is in it for me?
2. level fast
3. look for an active guild or i might end up solo o make my own guild
4. find reliable guildmates :)
5. enjoy the game... in cabal online, you will find me inside the dungeons (hunting rare items) or dancing around in the map :)
PS: do some mapping or semi active in the frontliners.... I'll be doing much more of hunting and trading business though
