Loved it. Tomoya sure is great. I was kind of pissed with Sunohara's attitude but well... I just hope things will turn out well for him and Mei. Oh, and a toilet seat cover.

I really like these episodes; getting some deep insight into Sunohara's personality is really interesting. I think he is one of the best characters in Clannad but remains being underrated a bit.
I'm curious as to how the relationship between Mei and Sunohara is going to work out.

Nosy little brat. Let her brother be. People develop at their own pace.

Plus I dont' want Sunohara getting all serious. He's the comic relief!

My gosh, this was such a good episode. First it was all cute n' fun on the date and then it got all uneasy and sentimental with the kids at the playground and Mei's feelings and Sunohara's past and then it got all super-cute n' fun during Okazaki and Mei's playdate
and then it got all tense when they ran into Sunohara. All that and a toilet, I guess.

And frick man, that last part of the preview for the next episode gave me chills. It also made me think maybe my first guesses of Ryou and the library lady being potential girlfriends for Sunohara weren't too off.

Okazaki is a really quick thinker btw.

Sunohara's story is starting to get interesting now, let's see how this turns out.

She's not falling in love with Okazaki, he's helping her trying to provoke Sunohora to be a good big brother.

Wow, what a nice episode. Mei doesn't seem to annoy me anymore. I'm actually starting to like her!

Well, I think she has the right to be worried about her brother. If my brother was like that, I'd be the same.

What a whiny brat Mei is. She's treated her brother like scum the entire series and now she's begging for attention the first time he's ever had something (apparently) go his way.

Speaking of which, I think "Sunohara is scum and nothing ever goes his way" is a joke which has worn out its welcome but we spend half the episode on it.

Watching Tomoya be the center of the universe yet again was kind of disgusting. At least in a porn game the story is about the protagonist having sex with lots of girls, but here there's no excuse.

So, could somebody explain the "oni-chan" thing to me? In the dub, she kept calling him "big brother" and then he started acting like an idiot. Why that would make Kyou, Ryou, and Kotomi run away screaming was lost on me.

What am I missing? I am not at all an anime otaku, but since I stumbled across Clannad and fell absolutely in love with it, I have been sort of dying to talk about it with people. That's why I joined this site.

I'd really like pedophilia to be kept completely out of my entertainment if at all possible. I can understand if Okazaki was pretending to be pedo for laughs, but I don't find it funny. If he REALLY IS pedo, then that would sort of shallow his character and, as a result, all of his relationships. Am I wrong?

I hate the idea of Sanae wanted to be Sunohara's fake girlfriend. She's already married! I really disappointed at this scene..

Oh, they have to tell Sunohara about his fake girlfriend and Mei's "boyfriend" soon, this is going wrong directions! But this is what makes it such a good episode!

Yeah, that's it. You know the most interesting point about anime? Those are moe and kawaii, or maybe you just can put kawaii and moe altogether and just called it moe. You know, when you feel like want to hug a character so much and you are like "HHHNNNNNGGGGGHHHH!!!!". (I have a pic about this but forget where I put it, or maybe I alreday delete it, hehe, sorry.. :P)
And the most moeness people could get I think is from female child character, especially little sister or imouto, and more specifically when she called you "onii-chan,,"
Gyahh!! Nothing beat it, it just too adorable. And please don't mistakenly it as a pedophile. It is considered as pedophile only if you wanted to have sex with her.

That's from my point of view, maybe any other anime fans or otakus out there have any other and better explanation, I don't know, but that's what I could tell right now.

I'm not entirely sure it's a satisfactory explanation, as it still doesn't make sense why Kotomi and the Fujibayashi twins would run screaming from him just because he finds Mei adorable. Not to mention the constant stream of "Okazaki's a lolicon ROFLMAO" comments in this thread.

But in that light, it can certainly be interpreted as fairly innocent, and I do feel a bit better about it. This episode prompted me to research what "loli hentai" is and I was absolutely horrified. Crap like this is why anime and it's fans are still considered "weird" by everyone else.

Yes, the Sunohara siblings' path(Exactly from what arc are you watching). And if you're thinking Tomoya can end up with Mei on the game, it doesn't happen.
