Horizon is projected at 20883 sales, and Sword Art Online is 24255. Horizon just really fell off after a strong first month, now its struggling to stay in the top 50. ![]() |

Horizon just really fell off after a strong first month, now its struggling to stay in the top 50. SAO comes out a full month later, so I wouldn't compare those estimates directly. Horizon has gotten 1502 hourly updates at Stalker while SAO has only seen 837. If you compare SAO to where Horizon was at 837 hours, Horizon has a better peak (2 vs 4), better average (14 vs 16) and better lowest rank (37 vs 44). Of course, these are all very close numbers, so it won't be too shocking if they end up selling about the same. I expect Horizon to be higher on BD, but SAO should have modest DVD sales too while Horizon is BD only. SAO Vol. 1 was dropping into the 30-40s too, before Vol. 3 got solicited just in the past day or two and sent them all back into the top 10 for the moment. I expect that'll happen for a while each time a new disc is solicited, because SAO is being done one at a time and Horizon was all solicited from the start. SAO is definitely not well made in my opinion... was no where as engaging as the novel's order "Justice Never Dies!" - Kenji Endou, 20th century Boys |

Maybe its a bit too haremy for some, but I like it that way. ![]() |

I dunno about the next volumes though....is the first volume discounted? |

I dunno about the next volumes though....is the first volume discounted? Only very slightly. It's ¥7140 and the rest are ¥8190, because it has two episodes and the rest have 3. That can have an impact on sales, but I'd expect only a slight one, if anything. Major sales shifts from discounts usually apply to steeper discounts than that.
