In the last scene are there destroyed buildings? because it looks like that on the screen on page 1. Just asking because he was walking through a destroyed city in one of the first scenes in ep1. Can kinda predict what happened tho, that guy that stole kuromitsu is now evil and stuff and the main dude wants to save her. etc. |

Quickie timeline for you guys. The part with Kuromitsu talking to Kuro's head takes place in the Bakumatsu period (Shinsengumi makes it obvious). He's already been beheaded for several hundred years, and I'm assuming the murderer samurai is in fact some sort of Benkei reincarnation. |

angel999 said: This episode was a bit heavy for me cause the blood splatter was WAY MORE THAN THE 1 EPISODE.......is the manga worse......I mean bloodier and explicit??? pretty much the same. they have sex whenever it's possible.... I'm surprise the anime follows EXACTLY the narattive structure of the manga, which is completely messed up (i.e. I don't like it) |

The fighting scenes are awesome, and the story was very interesting. Sure, there's a few confusing points, but it's not bad to me. The ending of the epiosde left me excited to watch the next episode. |

Huh so the actual setting of the show is that of post apocalyptic earth. I'm rather confused as to how Kuro got his body back. The timeline is all messed up at the moment. Oh well hope they explain this more in detail later on and fix the whole humming thing in the background. ![]() Nayuki_Love Scanlations, bringing bishojos to a manga near you! |

I'm not familiar with Japanese history so that really helped straighten a few things out. It looked like the buildings were destroyed, like something smashed into the middle and after many years it became a lake. I only have one opinion of this episode - EFFING CLIFFHANGERS. D8< |

It seemed to me that whole section was just part of the mind trip to undo the brainwashing that had turned their leader into benkei. I'm pretty sure none of that part before he wakes up in the cave actually happens. |

For the most part, I loved the first two episodes. I was constantly confused about what was going on with Benkei - one minute he saved the main character, refusing to kill him when offered many chances, and then he seemed to suddenly be on the baddies side. Episode 2 confused me completely, I wasn't sure if Benkei was supposed to be the evil samurai at the start or if the focus just changed to the insanity of his mind randomly. And, talking of Benkei, the guy who Kuromitsu was drinking the blood of in the first episode looked like him...hell, every secondary character seems to have the same design as Benkei! As always with anime at the start, I'm at a loss as to what's going on in terms of story, and the switching between samurai Japan and a post-apocalyptic setting isn't helping me out. Right now, I'm simply focusing on the main character and his relationship with the immortal female lead in order to avoid getting a headache. I'll worry about not understanding the plot at all when I've watched a couple more episodes. Anyway, it's great aside from the plot confusion. The animation looked good; the action was fairly exciting; I want to know more about Kuromitsu, the hot immortal lady and the dark story is what I like to see in my anime. It was a bit odd how quickly the main two wanted to get it on without knowing anything about each other, but I'll just go with the flow and not try to be logical about sexual relations with mysterious women. |

Yep, the Tokyo/Edo quote made it obvious some seconds before that, but if you add the Shinsengumis, there's no doubt left : Bakumatsu, close to 1867-1868 probably. He had already been beheaded for maybe 700 years since the first part seems to be taking place in the 12th Century according to the synopsis (there's no evidence of that in the first episode but the setting ressembles the late Heian period indeed, mainly thanks to the cult of the warrior skeletons that we can mistake for onmyoudo). As far as this second episode s concerned, the Death Note/Black Lagoon team stroke once again. The first episode was already very good, but this one is totally mind blowing, with a perfect direction and developments, awesome art and animation, it's just... right. That's how you do anime. Superb. |

(Might be an obvious observation but I figure it's worth mentioning.)In the last scene are there destroyed buildings? because it looks like that on the screen on page 1. Just asking because he was walking through a destroyed city in one of the first scenes in ep1. I was only a little disapointed by the fact that Kuromitsu's breasts weren't drawn with much care or detail (and I'm not just talking about no nipples). Aside from that everything was flawless. Perfect direction, writing and amount of blood. Everytime that dude says "Yu/Yo" it reminds me Soulja Boy. -__- wtfyourface said: MistaCloudStrife said: OVER 9000!!!From 100-1000, how much do you love LWL? |

Yeah, that was just phenomenal, fantastic, awesome. The animation, the story, the fights, the music, the characters, everything is flawless. The only thing I found strange is way Kuromitsu's hair seems to be glued over her nipples. They have no problems showing massive amounts of dismemberments and blood and can't show a couple of nipples? No matter, this tale is just too great to be sullied by such sillyness. |

Pretty interesting episode. The fight scenes art style is abstract-yie, different from episode 1. |

It's gotta be more then a couple hundred, maybe even a thousand or two. Just look at the state of the cities, they're in complete ruins. That's not what you would expect if he were to be in present day. |
