I'm getting the same thing here with the new 1.4 update. I'm on iOS 6.0.1 with a 4th generation iPod Touch.

Same for me as well on iPhone 4, iOS 6.0.1

Now on iOS 6.1

1.4 still crashes, as it stands Sugoi is useless.

Looks like Sugoi was removed from the Appstore. Wonder what's happening.
Hope the author has a planned fixed update.

Find the new app created by "Jerome Ceccato" with the name "iMAL". It works better than "Sugoi".

I'm very sorry for everyone who's experiencing issues with Sugoi.

The problem is that 1.4 update introduced a bug where the app would crash upon selecting a list item. I quickly fixed this and issued an update but Apple didn't accept the update because it contained nudity (ecchi search results).

I've finally found a way to filter these results and will issue a new update soon. This update is currently being tested.

Odd, iMAL doesn't filter any results and it works just fine, don't know why Apple would have rejected an update to an app they already approved.

This is just luck actually, because the people who reviewed iMAL either did not test the search feature or didn't encounter any ecchi things during their search. iMAL might as well be rejected for the same reasons next time I update it...
Sometimes, you can just submit the exact same app and it gets approved because the reviewer did not test the same things.
One thing though, I don't know about you but I provided them with a test account which contains ~15 anime/manga, so that may be the reason why they didn't test the search/add feature much.

Indeed. I did a handful of updates before this update and they all got immediately approved. Seems I had just bad luck with this update.

I provided them with a test account with some anime/manga too, but for some reason there was an ecchi manga in my reading list (must have ended up in there while testing). That's when it got rejected. With the update I submitted thereafter they must have been paying more attention.

Also, I am able to edit my current anime, it seems to only crash when I search for anime. Just FYI.

really need free version

I highly doubt making it cost money was something you didn't intend to do, but I just needed to say so. I doubt people will use a paid app if there free app available. Such as iMAL. Though I'm sure people will prefer your simplistic but beautiful design over iMALs and are willing to spend some cash for it.

I'm just pointing this out, I'm not trying to start a fight over which is better and if it's worth it, blah blah blah. I just simply stating more people will likely use the free app seeing how people don't wanna pay. That or they'll pirate it to get it for free.

I agreed! Well, I just accidentally hit the buy button but actually no regret. The design is better than iMAL; also, $0.99 is not that much of a cost.

I'm very disappointed. I just bought it for my iPad and
1 - it is not optimized for it (I know you said you planned to make an iPad version, I really hope you won't make a separate version and charge for it again)
2 - it still crashes and I can't use it at all

So 1,8€ spent for nothing.
