This must be a wake-up call for me to start watching the 1st season, I guess >_>

Thank you. I've been waiting for the announcement of WHEN the second season was going to air. I am a fan of the UtaPri series (meaning the games) but I'm also a mild fan of the anime. Yes, UtaPri was a very successful anime in Japan. This series, in general, is popular as is has many drama cds, song cds, games, as well as having a few live concerts.

I will say that the anime did come off as rather weak as they barely scratched the surface of these wonderful characters but that's what most Otome game anime adaptations do. Haruka isn't supposed to have much of a personality, since she's the player character in the original games, but she had to be bland in order to highlight the main point of the series: the boys and their stories. Indeed, she can be described as a mild Mary Sue and the anime tried to give her a bit of history so give her some slack. She was adapted into how she was originally. I mean there are, arguably, worse Otome-game-to-anime female leads.

Remember. These anime adaptations act like an advertisement for the games. Therefore, they can only give a quick snapshot of each of the main guys. Since I've played the game, I can say that they chose to take an idea from Tokiya's route (Him overcoming his issue with being Hayato) and turn it into the "main plot" of the series in S1. The pacing of that "plot" in the anime was a bit rushed, but it couldn't be helped due to their choice of dedicating an episode/song to each guy with only 13 episodes. Yet, one has to consider that this anime is more geared towards the fans that are already familiar/aware of the story and have played the games. But it also acts as an ad for new fans by introducing and giving them glimpses of the main characters.

It isn't necessarily a bad anime and I respect others' disinterest in the series. I mean, not all reverse harems are for everyone. However, I do suggest this series to anyone that is into catchy songs and good voice acting. If anything, check out the series for those purposes.

With that being said, I'm looking forward to S2 to see what they decide to do with Starish plus the senpais.

yay i love reverse harems. i wasn't liking the first season until that one song changed my mind...Maji Chizu, the way they sang it to her was so nice and cute and lovely...I want more songs like Maji Chizu :D

I guess I gotta watch it since I've seen the first season..

one of the few anime that i watch without skip anything. I hope this news is true because they had been revealed that the second season would air this year ;___;

OMD YAY!! does anyone know if it will still follow the same people, i mean who is cecil . . . how does he know Haruka? both of these questions need answers!!
just like who were the guys sitting with ringo sensei and hyuga sensei . . . . BUT I CAN'T wait i think i will re-watch the first season about march time to remind myself of it

I would have preferred this to be a winter 2013 anime, but spring is okay. I'll just think of it as an early birthday present.
