This is something that has always interested me, as I fall into the first category. Just wanted to know on average how common this is.  |

You forget if we just listen to J-pop and western songs. And the fact some exclusively listen to k-pop (dunno why they're here, we're not mydramalist...) |

I listen to music from wherever, I also tend to not (if ever) categorize music by their country. For example, if there's J-rock and J-pop, then would Nujabes be J-hiphop? Nihon-hop? That sounds a little odd to me (though "Nihon-hop" would be pretty awesome).        |

I meant the third question to encompass that group of individuals. I just set the first option as a baseline for the others given the fact that we are on an anime discussion site. Also, I introduced the second option because I have observed KPop to be gaining popularity here where I live (which I assume to be representative of western society), and that it is seemingly more non-anime fan friendly than Jpop. Just wanted to distinguish that category from Japanese music, as some users may have just taken my first Option to encompass all sorts of Asian music. |

For a generalized poll like this, you always need to should have an *other (please specify below) option. If you're doing a statistical study, then sorry continue away, though you could use a few more options |

I started off with only American/European music, and about 27/29 of my gigabytes of music on my hard drive are American/European, but I only listen to a small percentage of it. The remaining 2 GBs are J-pop and anime OSTs, and I listen to all of them. I guess I'm more picky with the Japanese stuff.
