What is your favorite 'dere' archetype? If you don't know what a dere is ( Or if you only know Tsundere and Yandere ), here's some definitions I found on the interwebs: Tsundere - we all know this one. Acting high and mighty, pretending not to like stuff, but actually a loving person.-Kugimiya Rei's chacters pretty much. Yandere - May appear all loving and kind at first, but can get very aggressive, obsessive and violent when it comes to her or his affections.-Mizore from Rozario and Vampires. Lucy from Elfen Lied. Dandere - Might appear very silent and even emotionless at first, until someone "pulls their trigger" and it comes out that they were just shy. Nagato Yuki from Haruhi (though somewhat debatable). Kuudere - May appear cold, harsh and even emotionless at first, untill someone "pulls their trigger" etcetera etcetera. C.C. from Code Geass Kamidere - It's in the name. Acting as if she or he is god, but with a ~dere side hidden away. Kyouka Midarezaki from Kyouran Kazoku Nikki, Amber from Darker Than Black. Deredere - Sweet and loving all the way- Ryou from Clannad Himedere - Same as with kamidere, but acting as princess. Possibly Haruhi. Going by those definitions, my favorite would be Dandere. I just find silent/shy characters the most loveable. |

It's hard to classify characters into archetypes so I dislike this system. However, I'd say my favourite type on that list is dere dere. As a child, I was told that society is a melting pot of talents; knowledge and experience combined to form important alloys that will contribute to mankind. When I got to highschool, however, I thought that it's more like a river in which the water represents our peers while we ourselves are the stones in the river. Constant erosion by mindless majority sheeping has made us lose our unique edge. After I hit the age of 18, I realized that I've been wrong all along. Society is no melting pot. Society is no river. Society is a person, a very skilled rapist, and he has fucked us all. |

Tsundere or this so called Kamidere. The rest is either scary or boring. |

I tend to dislike archetypes and classifying characters using a system like that, but if I had to choose I guess I'd go with kuudere. ![]() |

Tsunderes, though I don't like when they're too physically violent. Kuroneko is a good example of a tsundere who doesn't kick people's heads in for the most trivial offenses, more of a poetic snarker. Are you a fan of Magical Girls?
