And i'm really disappointed.. i thought there is something more behind the illusory world and there is many arcs that isn't needed (in first season) and the mix of humor and drama really ruined the show IMO.. :X

Could you please write your sentence in a way that is consistent and specific.

1. About illusionary world: write what did you get cause there might be more to it than you think.

2. Arcs are first season issue (needed or not is a different matter) as you wrote so why mentioning it here?

3. What kind of humor you have in the After Story? Besides Akio which is far from pointless and a tiny little bit of Fuko which even someone who isn't her fan shouldn't die from, there really isn't almost any. And even if something happens from time to time it is natural and rather makes you smile not rotfl.
I heard people complaining (not exactly necessarily) about lack of humor in the After Story but not the other way around.
The fact that characters are smiling because they managed to achieve something or just because they are happy does not count as humor.
And if you were referring to so called emotional rollercoaster and didn't like the fact that it was there then too bad, next time try to get some information before you pick something to watch.

About the Illusory world do you mean about it being Ushio in the world? That was a nice surprise for me.

I believe Clannad is based off of a game, where there are multiple routes, you know all of the girls that he could pick besides Nagisa. That's why there are short specials of the main character with a different girl. And the first season was introducing all of the girls, and showing who he chooses and how he does it.

And the mix of comedy and drama is just eachothers opinion.

I think the illusionary world is a great metaphor of the parallel story, it really adds to the bond between Tomoya and Ushio.

I played the game, it is indeed quite silly at the beginning at school, and it turned serious after graduation when Tomoya moves on in his life. This is really what we are isn't it? We all act silly back in school, playing around, searching for different things, and after graduation, we are being thrown into reality as we struggle through it. Not everything back in school influence our lives but there's atleast one or two things that attach to us through our lives. I think its a perfect representation of life, a true slice of life. The After Story is really smart. If the whole story just ended with first season, I would be really disappointed.

The story is quite dramatic, it tear our souls apart (just a way of describing), and in my opinion, the humor is just what I needed. It act as pain relief, it gives us a break before the story hits us again. Once again, compare it with our life, its a mix of drama and humor, in our case, it may be silly, fun stuff we do with friends. Just dramas and we'll end up getting depressed, pure humor we'll end up getting another plotless anime. So I don't see anything wrong with the mix or the way its mixed.
