So another season of college football, another season where the SEC starts at the top of the gridiron mountain. But people seem to think that this is the year the reign is over, mainly because of the Southern Cal Trojans and what players they have coming back. We see teams playing in new conferences: Texas A&M and Missouri play their first season in the SEC, the Big 12 welcomes TCU and West Virginia, and the Big East brings back Temple. So, what are your expectations for the 2012 season? Does the SEC make it 7 national titles in a row, or does their death grip on the sport finally end? What coaches stay, what coaches get shown the door, and what coaches get hired away by other schools? What teams will leave old conferences for new ones? |

Post-Josh said: Never understood why anyone would want to watch college sports. Probably because they enjoy sports and go to college, or went to college. Anyway, I'm pumped man. I go to A&M so I'm pretty excited about the SEC. I think we'll finish 7-5 or 6-6, but the point is the ridiculous fan base the SEC brings, as well as the recruits of course. Tickets for LSU v A&M are already gone practically, and I can't fucking wait for all of the SEC tailgating. I'm not sure about expectations for the rest of the country though. Alabama and LSU are still going to be strong, but after the national championship debacle it will be interesting to see how everything plays out. I'm still part of the populace that thinks it should have been LSU vs OKC State originally, even if Alabama was the better team. ![]() |

Hopefully the 3rd time is the charm and the Badgers win the Rose Bowl this year... not likely though. Pretty much gift-wrapped their division since Ohio St. and Penn St. cant go to the Big Ten Championship game. |

My favorite team is Florida (& I'm guessing it's the original poster's favorite as well). I think we're going to need one more year before we're really competitive again. GunbladeWarrior, I hope you enjoy winning with your new coach. XD. RYOJI KAJI [to Shinji] So, I understand you're living with Katsuragi. SHINJI IKARI Uh, yeah... RYOJI KAJI So, is she still so... wild in bed? |

Interesting to hear you'll get to see A&M start play in college football's best conference during your 4 years in College Station. Word to the wise: NEVER talk smack about the Crimson Tide in the presence of an Alabama fan. |

LSU kicks off the season pretty soon against a cupcake for once (North Texas). This should be a good year and we should be title contenders again with a real quarterback in Mettenberger. It hurts to lose the Honey Badger. Not because he's such a great player because we can replace his coverage skills and his return skills, but we can't replace his playmaking ability. He is unquestionably one of the best playmakers in school history and one of the best in the nation. It's a shame he's literally too stupid to take advantage of his talent. I look for LSU, FSU, USC, Alabama and Oklahoma as your best 5. FSU has a ton of talent and may finally put it together this year. USC has the nations top pick so they will be in the hunt and the Pac-12 is pretty weak aside from Oregon imo. Should be a fun year to watch. |

My team is Florida, but as someone already said, we probably won't do too well this year. I'm excited though. We've got two newbies in our conference! Should be interesting. |

I guess the Honey Badger should have cared. JustALEX said: Gunblade, I've missed you and your love for Ohio St. too bad you guys have a one year bowl ban :/ It could be worst though, at least you're not Penn st. F the NCAA. ![]() |
