According to the booklet bundled with Vocaloid producer Jin's new single CD "Children Code", his media mix project "Kagero Days" was announced to get an anime adaptation. Children Code original PV (Youtube) Kagero Days original PV (Youtube) Kisaragi Attention original PV (Youtube) Kagero Days novel official website Kagero Days project on Pixiv Wiki Kagero Days project is a series of original Vocaloid songs posted on Niconico. It's about a secret group of boys and girls called "Mekakushi Dan (Blindfold Brigade)". They are about completely different stories and characters, from different creators/composers (and BRS itself pre-dates the Vocaloid song). You might as well ask "We've already adapted an anime from a manga before, isn't one enough?" Anyway I'm excited about this. I've not yet had a chance to get into the story beyond Kagerou Days (I've heard most of the other songs, but not read translations) so if this is a TV series I'll be very happy. It's crazy how explosive Jin's popularity has gotten. He's not my favorite composer, but I do like him, and it's thanks to him that I started paying any serious attention to IA. And with the light novel hitting 100k and the Mekaku City Days album selling so incredibly well for an individual artist's (i.e. not a Exit Tunes-type compilation) release, I'm not too shocked by this.
