Man... This is incredible good news. Nice to see some great director gaining more space to make his projects.
I'm sure there are people who dislike a lot Ikuhara's convoluted style, but his presence directing anime is important. He can bring new fresh and creative ideas, things that are a bit rare to find in anime nowadays.
(No, I'm not whining like "oh, anime nowadays is all s*it, uncreative, they don't make more anime like in the old days" and blabla. I'm just saying that someone who can bring new experimental choices is important.)
The onky thing that is bugging me is the mispelling on the page's title - Intentional or just a silly error?
"Like this too we met in a dirty and ugly world; Thank you for this miracle."
The way Mawaru Penguindrum ended, I cannot imagine Penguinbear being a sequel. Though, a spin-off is very likely. The line on the site reads, ”Find it out without mingling with the transparent storm,” hinting towards one.
I hope Penguinbear contains the same aspects that made Penguindrum so great. Mainly with its portrayal of fate, originality, and obviously the fucking penguins!!!
