THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Wow..tax reduction for glasses, special train for people wearing glasses, contact lens forbidden. I'm definitely going to vote for Gankyou if she goes into election. |

I got really lost when Gankyou was in space... Too many references (neta)... I don't get it! Sell the Earth? What does that mean...? |

Shih said: I got really lost when Gankyou was in space... Too many references (neta)... I don't get it! Sell the Earth? What does that mean...? The man who wore a spacesuit, is the former Japanese Prime Minister Mr. Hatoyama. He has a strong liberal idea and he is close to Chine and Korea. (Generally, Japanese public opinion are close to USA and EU) He ruined national interests when he was the Prime Minister, so he is hated by conservatives & right-centrists in Japan. Mr. Hatoyama is nicknamed The Space Alien because he is an incomprehensible Dietman for them. Many Japanese also often call him The Traitor, therefore he said "Sell the Earth" (it means betray citizens) as a joke in ep6. Anyway, Gan-chan is so cute!! especially when she held a Dharma and smiled in the last part. Uh...that her remarks is like lunatic^^; Modified by DEN-JIN, 08-12-12, 9:33 AM |

I quite understand that non-japanese aren't familiar with these references. Extremely local NETA they are. Altogether, Kumeta's works are given that way. Anyway, to my regret, it seems like this anime is unpopular among this site. I love this though... |

Wow... there was a lot of Japanese right-wing politics at the end with former Prime Minister Hatoyama. Kinda figured he was a lousy guy when he lasted only about half a year. Even for Japanese PM, that is too short. ![]() Thanks, person who gave me this on another site a long time ago, lol. |

Gankyou actually graduated from the show! AHahahaha. I love all the four puns. Hehehehehe. Being a student council president is hard... I only know Medaka from the pic. LOL at when he won the Solar System elections, by punching the previous prime minister! Ahahahaha. |

LOL. A sign of the apocalypse is five seasons. Regarding Gankyou winning election as prime minister of the solar system, we were just discussing delusions over in Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita - small world ;) ![]() |

The "Four Wows" skit was so hilarious! So many references there that I recognize like the use of "Elite Four". xD I laughed so many times in this episode! Episode 6 so far is my most favorite. Their conversations and ideas just keep getting more random every episode, which I like. :) ![]() |

They are right. Everything is better with four. Gankyou is going to be a bigger news than obama because she won the election. :D Save Water ~ Shower Together. |

I loled at that K-ON reference and that AKB senbatsu election reference. well, to tell the truth, I was laughing almost the whole time, so it's difficult to tell where I was laughing harder^^ I want Rambo in a mecha-suit with a laser-chainsaw gun that fires nuclear warheads, fighting the love-child of Predator, Alien, a group of Bangladeshi terrorists, and Satan. (Actually that would be a pretty sick show) - StopDropAndBowl |

It was good up until the election part. The election was boring until the Solar System part. I hope Marii's ass doesn't become a running gag. |
