I've read some. My favorite is All-Star Superman, its as good as comics can get (which is pretty damn good) Most of my knowledge from Marvel and DC actually comes from nerdy versus debates with those two being the two most powerful verses in fiction.
Uterus complications to feed the whales. Twisting islands of concrete and yaks keep the negative space alive. Ever growing pizza party of gerbils with rabies. Connect the pimples into the pine tree that you always wanted as a pet. Dogs made of ground horse meat walk the streets. Bestiality meat fucking. Clowns in cars with yarn and riddles. Drink the sand it's friendly. But those who build planes will surely know where the medicine is contained. The squid's corneas quiver to the sight of you. Eggplant gymnastics where's the panties? They're with the panda who loves licking ladders.

hmm since you are giving all star superman such a good review, i will check it out.

i am thinking of reading marvel or dc comics but its complicated and i don't really know where to start. i am thinking of just picking a hero or villain and then start reading up on their series.

where did you read those comics? on the computer or book?

I got mine online. Coughtorrentscough. You'll have better luck asking in a comic book forum to be honest. And if you're confused where to start you can always check some reliable wikis that usually list all the volumes a character has appeared in, their order, and what universe it takes place in (Marvel main site is quite informative I believe). PS My favorite hero is Superman.
EDIT: Oh Yeah, All Star Supes is really good.

I really prefer Image Comics.
Chew seems really promising.
I was a bit disappointed by walking dead, I'm sure it will cure this.

I sometime have funky grammar, sorry about that. If you can correct some of my post, you would be an angel.

99% marvel for me. better superheroes. also having a generally better cinematic universe (unlike dc's shitty track record) also breathes life to the characters.

the only dc i read are all related to batman.

I've only ever read Batman-related stuff. Although I haven't really read much of the new 52 stuff because it doesn't seem all that interesting (besides Batwoman). I mostly just wiki characters/storylines, lol..

I have tried my hand at comics with the new DC reboot but i find myself slowly falling behind. I am reading a few Batman titles and the All star western (which i guess used to be Jonah Hex). I have been enjoying it all somewhat but i am used to reading stuff like paperbacks or manga online so considering the reboot was not long ago there's not a huge amount to read and waiting monthly is a large time cost for 24ish pages.

I started reading Y the last Man though and i enjoyed that so i may just stick to those kinds of comics.

I prefer DC, simply because of Vertigo Comics. If you want to read some good Comics read what ever Vertigo puts out rarely do they have anything that isn't good.

and I like some of their Superheros

But I prefer Image Comics and IDW over both.

Yeah they do, but the problems are seeding. No one wants to seed any of those large batch torrents.

Then i can relate to you, i have only just started to try my hand at comics for the same reason.

Are you enjoying Suicide squad? I have really enjoyed it so far because it seems to be the only comic that is okay with killing off people in their books. Even if they are Z list villains it still keeps you guessing which is the reason i personally cannot get into comics all that much, no risk in the stories.

As for Marvel, i think its little impossible to get into now. I tried once but i could only give the DC comics a go because the reboot made it possible. Comics are a huge mess if you aren't hugely engulfed in the universes and Marvel just seems to be a cluster F of lore you need to know.

I used to read Ghost Rider and Doom, but it's been too long to remember much of it any more. I did like Ghost Rider quite a lot. I never really got into anything past that, though I had tried The Amazing Spiderman and The Flash.

I have some comics on my HDD, but I haven't touched them since I started reading manga and watching anime. I would recommend the Criminal series though, that was the only one that actually left an impression on me. I had the misfortune of reading an awful reboot of the Fantastic Four because I didn't know it was part of a one-year special where everything got reset at the end. What a shitload of fuck. I am in the middle of reading Ultimate Spider-Man, which again, I haven't touched since I started reading manga, but I did really enjoy it, it's pretty damn good. I think I'll start reading that again.

The main thing I hate about most comics is the lack of a real story, plus the lack of continuity. The good thing about them is that they don't have shitty English like scanlations. But honestly, I'll take manga over comics any day of the week.
