you have not dont your rerech Neo geo has the logest life span of any hard Ware

You make me lol. Not so fun when it doesnt match your bias is it?

Anything that is guaranteed to get a vote and even some of the obscure ones are on there. If people say they will vote for something that is not on there and it is legitimately from that period I will add it.

I didnt research or pretend to. I looked at a list on Wikipedia and picked the main ones from that list.

You could probably put the NES instead of the 32X (didn't that only have like 20 games?).

The Nes wasn't around by the cutoff date I think. The SuperNes however was, in some form.

Wait, isn't the best console always going to be a biased choice. You can only pick from the ones you've played and i doubt many have played them all o_o

I think i have just caught on to what a weird conversation this is...

My vote goes to Famicom

you call this unbiased, what a joke. It miss some great consoles like the PC-FX or Neo Geo

You didn't searched enough, Neo Geo has a longest life span than any other hardware

Corrected version. Firefox spell check with the English dictionary help a lot. You should try that. I suck at English, but at least it correct me when I forgot letters

I suppose Neo Geo should be added. (For the price of this console, and the price of the game, it better has a f**king big life span.)

Maybe also Game Boy 1. It was a really big success and I'd like to vote for this one. (it is almost the same as GBC, but the big grey box is the one I want.)

I sometime have funky grammar, sorry about that. If you can correct some of my post, you would be an angel.

the Internal hardware of the Neo Geo lasted from 1985 to 2002 all that changed was the PCB became interchangle so on a pure hardware Level teh Neo lased 17 years and now SNK are making a Hand held version running on that Hardware so the line is still alive

First of all the Famicom or NES was released in 1983, the last licensed NES game was released in 1994, so this does not fit in the 15 year time frame. Just because some obscure homebrew game nobody has heard of was released within 15 years doesn't mean it should be included.

Secondly, the PC FX is ridiculously obscure outside of Japan. It sold 100,000 units in Japan, and none of the games were released outside of Japan, so I wouldn't put that blame on the topic creator.

Really the only console you listed that should be on here is the Neo Geo.

Considering the release years and marketing, then these should be on the list as well;

3DO
Arcade
CD-i
SNK Neo Geo
Neo GeoAes
Neo GeoCD
N-Gage
iQue
PC-FX
GP-32
Gizmondo

And excuse the fuck out of me, but this is just one of Gamecube varieties:

Panasonic Q

It should be removed from the list. Otherwise varieties as GB, GBA, GBA SP, GB pocket, GBM should be listed separately as well. And undergrounds like Colorvision, Zodiac and Blaze.

Otherwise the list seems accurate. Don't listen anyone who says famicom/nes should be on the list. If so, then at least 30 others should be included. Enlighten me if something isn't accurate.~

Oh, I didn't realize there was a timeframe. Since every other major console is on the list (including the 15+ year old Master System) I thought it was just best console.

It's also based on marketing and games released or some arbitrary bullshit that just confuses everyone. Blame Enjolras as this is just his topic with more systems added.

PS2 hands down.

You could still play all your favorite PS1 games (seriously it's the only system that has had good backwards compatibility)

and It has copious amounts of games for every genre.
It doesn't think, it doesn't feel, it doesn't laugh or cry..... All it does from dusk till dawn is make the soldiers die.

Yeah, I think the PS2 wins in terms of the amount and variety of games available.

The Wii has good backwards compatibility too, in my experience.

That started back with the N64. Most of the 3rd party developers moved to Sony because of Nintendo's stupid decision to stay with the cartridge format.

Options added to the poll, you will have to forgive the fact I am not really familiar with them though.
