Kazeshini said: I was about to say no. Then you reminded me of how I cried as a little kid when I kept dying and dying. I don't remember what games they were. Zero the Kamikaze Squirrel and Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine might have been two; perhaps the only ones. games that I play on the most difficult level, after dying many times i begin to lose my temper and cry haha Modified by Ezekiel, 08-07-12, 6:04 AM |

VNs yes. General games i guess not. Maybe a touching moment in operation Overlord in mass effect 2. Haven't played that many uber sad games(/any come to think about it..). Plenty enough emotionally engaging though e.g. Morrigan in Dragon age. |

Shadow of colossus I don't usually get emotional over games, but games like Ico, Shadow of Colossus and PoP: Sands of Time made me feel conected with the world and the characters like no other medium. There are also lower budget things like Braid and World of Goo. Anyway, all those games are about a guy ( or some goo ) in a ruined but beautiful world, surrounded with enemies, striving to survive and reach a goal that's not always moral. |

Final Fantasy X was just sad. I cried at the ending, definitely, but when I first played through that game I was apparently in this horribly tearful mood because I also cried at that scene in the lake, and when they first get to Zandarkand and that really pretty song plays and everything just feels all dramatic and pressing, and OH MY GOD I JUST CRIED WAY TOO MUCH IN THAT GAME IT WASN'T EVEN A VERY GOOD GAME. Excuse me. Also, I definitely cried at the end of the Sun (or Star? Akinari) social link in Persona 3. It doesn't help that that beautiful song was always playing through that social link all the time. And then a couple parts involving the December events in that game may have made me cry, I don't remember. This is random, but Persona 4 had be crying at one of the later social link events for Yosuke - 9, I think? The one where he talks about how he used to hate Inaba but he started to like it because of the people, and how he wants to be special to someone. It's not supposed to be a tearjerker moment, it's just the character development, but I was just in this place in my life where that was just the saddest and most relateable thing that could have possibly been said. Also, the ending of Dear Esther, again because of the music. I didn't cry, but I teared up a little. Wow, I'm a whimp. I like it when games emotionally affect me enough to make me cry though. |

It was hard to hold it in when aeris died in ff7. Maybe I'm being over dramatic but it's different when 1 the chemistry between cloud and aeris was, by then, solid and 2 she became my lead party member-I would prioritize her equipment and skills among every1 else. Sigh...damn you, sephiroth! |

I don't remember ever having to cry because of a video game, that is IF you don't count visual novels to the catagory 'video games'. actually i just finished the VN 'G-Senjou no Maou' and was darn close to crying but i managed to supress the tears at the last moment. The time when i was so close to crying was Modified by ZeroAkito, 08-11-12, 11:22 AM ![]() |

Sephor said: Only one i can remember recently was from Lost Odysseys 1000 years of dreams things, one i remember mostly was the one where he would visit this inn and talk to a girl there who was never able to leave because of a illness i believe, and tell her about his adventures. Some sad shit in those IMO, along with one other thing that came to mind in the main story line. Nothing like bawl my eyes out, just some sads tears....... The text stories written in those dialogues were actually more ground breaking then the actual story. |
