[You know a harem manga is good when you don't mind which girl the MC ends up with.

Here it's Onodera only.
You're free to have such an opinion - for me a harem manga might be good only if the girls slowly but steadily get over the protagonist and maybe fall in love with another guy. Like the comic relief guy who gets surprisingly intelligent and serious when it matters (my favorite type I think). Anyway - harem manga is sh*t if it ends with one girl "winning" the wimp protagonist and the rest in despair.

In other words - it's incredibly difficult to pull off a good harem manga. Nisekoi doesn't seem to try.

But anyway, about the chapter. Father character is an instant LIKE for me. I don;t know why, but whether it's a manga, an anime, a movie, a game, I adore the father characters. Wise, strong yet loving, protective but trying to let the child go, and even though he's often the funny guy, you do not want to harm his kid if you value your life.

There is no "Thumbs up!" button on this site so I will just quote You instead. :]
I have spoken. So it is written. So it shall be done.

The translater is translating her words as if she's from the Kansai region, so is it okay to assume that she's from there?

I want to know how he got that scar. XD

I can hardly remember many that fulfil this vital condition :O

Generally, I guess it is implied that the other heroines find someone else later in life, since they're all pretty appealing anyway.

If manga is to cater to the reader, then a harem manga must have characters that appeal to the readers, hence they all have to be appealing - even to the point that you don't mind who the MC ends up with.

The problem with many harem manga these days is that its so often that the first girl the MC sees wins and is much more "moe" than all the others in one sense. Also, they seem to have a lot more attention given to them by the author, the cement the fact that they are "fated".

Well, Nisekoi is awsome, just like its author :D

I think it might've been mentioned as tl note back in the chapter she first spoke like that in, but i don't remember. If it's really Kansai dialect though, Mari instantly becomes more awesome for me.

Kinda curious about what kind of accent Mari has in the original. Not bitching about the translation in the slightest though, Imperial Scans have done a flawless job so far.

Also, rooting for the best girl so far.

Mari and Kosaki would be my next picks, I suppose.

Mari is the best. And a jealous Chitoge is a good Chitoge.

And damn you're right... this chapter made even me wonder if Raku's going to end up with Onodera instead. I might say, hell, I still don't know, and it'll probably be like this for 50+ chapters.

Buuut... I'm still routing for Chitoge. Mari even going to lengths of promising to change herself to however Raku likes just proves how fake she is (did I just do a real world comparison?!). She is just going up the rankings of my 'hate the characters' list. Her father's on the side though, indeed. Onodera... let's just say that her part's yet to be finished.

My thoughts are that Mari is a side character. She was introduced to spice up the things a little, that's all. As Chitoge underlined in the 36th chapter, promises between children are to be taken real lightly, if not to be forgotten. Mari will be making occasional appearances, just like the bodyguard, but nothing more. The main 'harem' battle will still be fought by Chitoge and Onodera.

Just marry both Chitoge and Marika! Damn.

Don't forgot Tsugumi and Onodera LOL.

Seriously though Marika is like the perfect girl. She is insanely in love with Raku. She never forgot about him for 10 whole years and even get that stuff Raku gave to her when she was in the hospital. And of course she's so damn cute. Marika's father is just pure 'lmao' material. He really does look more like a Yakuza leader than the chief of police. xD

Lmao @ the last panel. Chitoge is damn jealous.

OMG. Mari's father was just amazing. I though he was a yakuza at first! XD

Wow... Pretty much, I can't decide which heroine I like the best, but Mari knows how to win in romance, unlike all the other heroines that just do nothing and hope for the best?

well anyways, a parent encountering event, the father was a pretty nice one, not pushy. I am rooting for Mari out of the 3 and Tsugumi now(where did she go???)

just realized Onodera is DEFINITELY my least favorite. I disliked her type of characters quite often, such as Sairenji Haruna from TLR is like her, the Protagonist likes her, she is pretty and supposedly cute etc. I tend to dislike the characters that the protagonist likes from the beginning, such as Kyon's wetdream Mikuru I dislike as well.

yeah... NO to oNOdera

Characters like Onodera is annoying to me because the main character always talks about them just because they have a crush on them when the plot is clearly steering in a differect direction, or there are better heroines

this is why Haruna Sairenji is very annoying as well... Not necessary the character but the circumstance(though I dislike haruna in that case also)

My clear favorites are Marika and Tsugumi... damn the other 3 are getting less and less attention

Ahahaha.
I was surprised by Marika's father! He looks more Yakuza than the yakuza on Raku's place.

Love where Marika blushed so hard... and Chitoge cranky like that.
