Back when I actually played competitively in 4th gen I got close (well... like 400ish) through a combination of HG and platinum. Helped that I was able to transfer over my fairly large collection from my ruby game as well. Although to be fair, I didn't actually catch a large majority of them. I traded for a whole lot with random people online (then bred myself a better one usually).  |

The original 150 (a case can be made for the generation following that one to) had so many unique Pokemon and their designs differed from one another by a lot. Now when I look at what exists, there are just so many weird designs and some just look the same. Of course, this could just be me not being familiar with Pokemon anymore, but there's only so many you can make without move sets and types overlapping to some degree, no? This is not a knock on the games though - I'm sure they are still as fun as I remember them being.  |

This Last Gen was the worst all the pokemon where WAAAAAAAY to over designed. The originals simple and well defined except for maybe a few. It doesn't think, it doesn't feel, it doesn't laugh or cry..... All it does from dusk till dawn is make the soldiers die. |

I'm not even sure what all of them are anymore. When blue came out it was at the height of the age where i enjoyed Pokemon so i knew them all but now there's chandelier Pokemon and Ice cream Pokemon and... o_o I never went for it though, as someone has already said, some of them you can only get through trading and just for that i couldn't be bothered. I play a Pokemon game here and there, i would say the Original Pokemon are the best but i feel like that may be nostalgia based and i like the new mechanics in the new games. I miss when Pokemon was relevant to me... Good years, good years...   |
