Souji cannot be found. Kondou said he knows him the best and he's the one who should find him, and the main guy said he's going to find him, too.

Kondou started to talk about young Souij when he came to his doujou. Everyone except Kondou treated him like a servant or say "poor guy". Young Souji even told him not to say extra things. Kondou even saw him being treated bad but not wanting to lose. Then even during practice match, he stood up when he got hurt and Kondou wanted to cure his hurt, and he won. Souji was finally found.

Someone wanted the person in charge of Shinengumi to control Shinsengumi more and take Kondou out. Souji knew who that is, so he tricked him to go out, then killed him!

The person in charge of Shinsengumi was saying Hijikata and Kondou are failures of being leader.

Next ep. on August 13, 2012 (along with ep.6).

Souji looked cute when he he was a kid, his personality wasn't bad
and now he killed a comrade and was really scary
he said he doesn't want to be called pitiful but he did looked like that when he asked Tonuchi ''advice''. btw Serizawa is so mean, I think he's getting meaner every ep, he hitted Ryunosuke with his pipe after the massage, so mean >.<

The best episode yet. Starting to like Souji even if . The entire backstory was powerful and emotional, and really well done. I hope other characters are just as well done and we get even more action scenes like it.

Guess Ill should check out the other Hakuoki's?

In Souji's misfortune I thought Kondou would be the one to lead him. But I'm impressed that Souji came into his strength on his own while still taking Kondou's words to heart. When Souji was pretending to confide in Tonouchi I had to laugh at how bedroom-eyeish I thought he looked. xD; And yeah, Souji being all nonchalant after killing the guy was pretty unnerving.

Let me just say that the fact that they put child Souji and psycho yandere Souji in the same episode was something my feels weren't ready to handle.
I really love that they finally animated his past and why he's so attached to Kondou. Makes it seem even cuter. Well, I'll be looking forward to the next episode!!

But seriously that serizawa is kinda getting on my nerves playing around with peoples head.

Episode 5 is out on Crunchyroll. Only Aichi TV and Y-TV weren't airing the episode this week. All of the other stations are. (You can go to Shoboi Calendar to see the airing dates for each episode).

poor souji. i really like him in this episode but the part where he killed Tonouichi is so scary.. :/
