I know why MAL probably does not have HTML embedding because of the site bogging down the server, due to a massive ammount of video's being streamed. But you may put restrictions on it like just for blogs, or clubs or something and remove it from general posts or forums discussions. We have youtube and thats enough, but some people like my self want to upload alot of great videos, like fav anime moments, songs, etc. But i can't because youtube keeps taking them down due to copyright infringement. I know alot of websites that allow HTML, but its a crying hame that MAL does not. So are only means of embedding video on the site is through youtube. Other wise you have to find another alternative means of uploading through links. |

HTML-enabled blog posts would be nice to have, especially for the <style > attribute on individual pages (which are usually short). But I could see things getting bogged down pretty quickly if certain allowances were made for a variety of content types Neutral about it either way though; bbcode is still much better than nothing There must exist some workarounds to that (those of which elude me at present) |

I think it's definitely a necessary improvement. We don't necessarily need it on the forums yet, but I think it should be added for blogs, an profile and club descriptions. It would definitely improve the areas where users like to be creative. For example, a user would be able to build their own static 'web page' within the fixed width frame of the profile 'About Me' area or a blog post. Users would still have to host all content externally and scripts should be disallowed to avoid additional load on MAL's servers. Surely It shouldn't be too hard to implement since BBCode needs to be converted to HTML to be displayed in any case. We'd just be bypassing this step. |

I hate to be a negative Nancy but I don't see this ever happening. Allowing users to input HTML tends to lead to all kinds of vulnerabilities. Maybe more robust BBcode would be nice though. |

For me, the most important additions are Tables, Backgrounds (also cell backgrounds in tables), and Fonts. |
