Exactly, she was smart but at the same time dumb. She assumed she would be attractive forever and then went nuts when she found out she had a pimple. She clearly didn't die at the end though. The cop said she was still breathing.

Theory:

Putting aside the abuse of the lighting effects and cherry blossoms and my slight shock that the characters looked human this was a surprisingly good first episode. I was hoping that the plot and characters would be strong given that it's a novel adaptation and so far that seems to be the case, but the animation production was way better than I expected which was an added bonus. Hopefully the level of quality stays high as we delve deeper into the story.

Interesting and refreshing. One of the better shows this season IMO.

3/4 of the episode was boring,at the end it became interesting anyway this is just weird

CLAMP x Madhouse = Win

This anime season sure is awesome, probably the best in couple of past years.

aah, the shoujo-ai hints are awesome *,* love their relationship.
the beginning was really creepy, but in such an awesome way. and the bloody hands,and dolls, and op/ed. really, now i have high hopes for that show :3

We should have just said this season is epic and the most weirdness season of the year.

This is interesting. Was a really strange and beautiful first eps. It was kinda slow and weird, but at the same time is was almost mesmerizing. I'm definitely waiting for more, I'm curious how everything will turn out.

Well. That was definitely not what I was expecting.

Yeah that was totally freaky O_O And the whole ep was strange.. god dammit I didnt understand much.. but it got me interested and I guess that's what matters eh?

What the Fuck?

The one thing I really want to make mention of here is the environment bound by the music, quickly shifting from calm and tranquil, to dark and rather melancholic, which is probably what made this so weird. The sudden, yet frighteningly natural shift kept me hooked on, as it likely will all season as this builds up. Admittedly, this wasn't what I expected in the least, though honestly, I'm not even sure what I was expecting. In the end, what more can I say than, "Well, I'm confused, yet still somehow massively intrigued."

Anyhoo though... Yay for dismembered school girls stuffed into boxes while somehow still alive!

Wow. The graphics/art and animation are very nice. Yeah, CLAMP + Madhouse = Amazing.

Well, confusions and weirdness in this first ep = prompts viewer to look forward for next episode.

Oh my, there was slow parts there and I thought I felt like I am watching it more than 24 mins(?).

Though I'm not fond of the character designs much, the artwork was still amazing. Banzai Madhouse~!

Looks like I have another horror type this season, along with Chaos;head and Shikabane Hime Aka.

I'm kinda "wtf" but it's sooo beautiful and clamp-like! I think I will really love it

First half the series looked like a drama and yuri anime but in the end it looked more like what's expected of it. Clamps character designs aren't as freaky as in R2, as in they don't look all that fucked up which is nice. Beautiful animation as well as some of the best music for an opening episode this year. This season looks good on horrors/supernatural at least.
