While on MAL I have had this happen on 3 to 4 occasions. I click to go somewhere on the website, maybe my profile or an anime/manga page. Then the page doesn't load and I get a popup from norton informing me that it blocked a web attack. I did not click on any ads here and my virus scans are all clean so I know it is not my computer. I have only had this happen on MAL, no where else. Does anyone know anything about this or had it happen to them? Thanks. |

I've only had this happen once, and this was a few weeks ago. I went to some random user's profile to view their list, and google chrome went all read and warned me about some malicious content on the page. It's the only time it's ever happened to me though. |

I havent had anything that says its an attack or anything but I know that one of the adverts. The blue and yellow one for some game or what not. It causes a popup to appear randomly that simply says "Not Found" It's rather annoying if you ask me lol. ![]() |

Some websites are simply blacklisted because they host (or hosted) malicious code at some point. Many of them are legitimate sites that have been hacked or abused. Norton Internet Security and Google Chrome both have mechanisms in place to check again such lists. Most likely there was an image or other embedded content on the page that was hosted on one of those blacklisted domains. There is a smaller chance that it was from advertising in the page. Either way, we would need a link to the profile in question to figure it out. Without at least that much, there is nothing we can do. |
