The K-On! movie really deserved all those sales. :) Also glad to see some of Yuru Yuri's songs on the CD rankings. Ghostony said: Just did a quick skim.. Mahou Shojo is targeted to pedophile muslim extremists that live in california |

Wrong. There's MUCH character development in movie and mainly at the end of the second season. |

But it was predictable You gave it a pretty good rating, and I'm sure you already knew how popular it was (K-ON! = one of the most lucrative late night anime franchises in history), and what about it is so appealing to its fans, even if you don't feel quite the same way or to quite the same degree. So maybe I don't understand the question. If you're asking why it sold so well, then perhaps I'd offer the following explanation, to anyone who expresses similar confusion: A deeply beloved and exceptionally successful anime series gets a beautifully animated and written movie that goes on to smash all sorts of box office records for a late night anime theatrical adaptation while garnering extremely positive reviews and good press from both the otaku base and the mainstream alike for being both completely true to both the letter and spirit of the original otaku-favorite while also being entirely appropriate for an all-ages and all-genders audience both in terms of content and accessibility. It thrusts the characters into an unusual setting that allows them to bounce off of each other splendidly for eliciting both smiles and laughs, while simultaneously unifying the narrative around one of the most emotionally poignant character-driven story elements of the franchise, and in doing so ending with a major emotional climax that deftly ties the film in with the main series' climax, ensuring that the film appeals on both an emotional and a comedic level in equal terms. And insofar as this evaluation is subjective, which parts of it absolutely are, it's also offered from the point of view of one of those people who loves the franchise and understands the feelings of at least one hundred forty thousand others who also loved it enough to purchase this release, and who would almost certainly express their feelings in a comparable way. After all, if you want to know why something succeeds, then the answer has to come from the individuals who generated that success. That's my guess as to why. BUY YUYUSHIKI BDS ALL DAY EVERY DAY |

@jmal Movie was much better that S2. And I know that it would get this much sales. Just that I don't really like K-On. It's only "medicore" for me so I feel bad that it could make KyoAni wish to make more K-On while there are a lot of better thing they could continue or make. |
