(Open to any who has heard the rumour about the devil fruit from the main thread and wish to seek it out.)

There is a rumour floating among the gathering of pirates that a devil fruit has been acquired by the marines on Sabaody Archipelago. They are reportedly storing it in the marine headquarters in area 60.

- Marine HQ: Saobody -

The Marine fortress that makes up the HQ of area 60 is built into the mangrove tree itself, normally the place is almost impossible to enter, as its few entrances are heavily fortified by a thick number of marines, however due to recent events most of the place defenders has been called away, leaving a bare strip of soldiers left to defend the old fortress, however the place is still quite defensible, getting into one of the gates (which are always closed) is going to demand some serious fire-power, or trickery.(There are four gates).

Recently a devils fruit was delivered here to be kept safe in the fortress armoury, located in the very centre of the fortress, its defender a quite famous marine veteran which has been left in care of the fortress.

Squish. Oww. Squish. Oww. Squish. Oww. Squish.

Cassandra woke up to find herself over Boomie shoulder, knocking into his back as he walked and with a horrible hangover.

"Boomie." Wince.
"Boomie." Wince.
"Boomie!" Wince.

She gave up speaking and started flailing, to make it absolutely clear she wanted to be put down. With her top restricting her arms, this mainly ended in her kicking his chest. Boomie got the message and stopped holding onto her. Causing her to flail off his shoulder and onto the ground.

"!@#$%"

Cass brought herself into a sitting position and nursed her hangover. Boomie and Levi didn't stop walking and at this rate were going to leave her behind. She tried to think of something to keep them with her.

"Hey, you guys hear anything about a Devil fruit in the bar? Apparently there is on in Marine HQ here."

Levi did not need to be told twice. A devil fruit meant he could feed it to someone and watch what it does, a prime experiment. Gregory, Levi's pet pigeon-rat, climbs out of Levi's shirt and sits on his shoulder nibbling at the seams of his shirt.

"Off to the marine HQ!"

Levi stops and turns around holding out a hand in front of him aiming it diagonally at the ground.

"Jack Jack Balloon!"

Beneath all three of them, Cass, Boomie and himself, appeared a rather large glowing pumpkin. Big enough for one to sit or stand on. Without hesitation the pumpkins all rise into the and begin to float over towards area 60.

"We need to find a someone to test it on so I can record the results."

Rose who thought was walking north was actually walking south towards the bottom of area 70. She scratched her head, wondering where to go next. She noticed lots of marines heading in the other way. Though she didn't worry about them, though she also noticed some flying pumpkin's flying in the same direction she was. And what looked like people on top of them.

"Ordinary people wouldn't bother to travel in such a way, so that only leaves me to believe those are, Pirate's!"

She started to follow them while also trying not to make attention to herself and the marines.

Upon Cassandra's talk about a rumour:

"yeah, i heard that too."

When Levi summoned his pumpkin he looked at it for a while, then at the bubbles around him, then back at the pumpkin, before finally fitting a bubble over the pumpkin and standing on top of it, looking out to the horizon.

"To the cursed fruit!!!!!! Wait...curse? What's this fruits 'bility anyway? did ya pick an'thin up from da bar talk kid? Docta doom?"

After finishing his sentence, Boomie exhales an impressive amount of smoke, with no particular shape, thus, a smoke 'cloud,' as it drifts behind them as the float in the sky.

Being on the floating pumpkin made Cass's head spin. She moaned, lay down (her size being advantageous in this case) and searched around for an orange.

"I don't know..." she replied to boomie, not wanting to talk.

Cassandra's love of rum had earned her many hangovers in the past, but the one that seemed to work best was oranges. She didn't know why, but they just did. They were just so round and orange and... orangey.

After finding one, she took a shallow bite, ripped off the skin and spat it off over the side of the pumpkin. She stretched out, wriggled around to get comfortable, or at least less uncomfortable and resigned herself to the pumpkin flight. Hoping that by the it finished, her hangover would be gone.

It didn't take long for the pumpkins to reach the fortress, seeing as they floated and most traffic walks. The pumpkins pull up and float mid air high above the marine fortress.

"The fruit is in there right? How many bodies do you think I can collect on the way? Oooooo maybe I could keep a pet marine to experiment on; can i, can i, can I?!!!!!"

Levi began jumping up and down on his pumpkin clearly excited before realizing one crucial thing.

"How do we get inside? It's a tree........ people don't go in trees, they cut them down and make them in to pointy sticks to poke people with."

(im just going to play as though my weapons been approved since i will change my stats around for it anyway)

Boomie spits his cigarette out.

"Well, i could use my flame dial...or, maybe jump up and hit it with my cannon using the impact dials to maximise damage? or bomb it...hmm...so many choices...bombs...bombs...bombs...i didn't bring my cannon balls!"

Tears start to stream down Boomie's face upon the realisation that he didn't bring his cannon balls.

Cass stayed lying down on her pumpkin, finishing off her orange. Her headache had subsided and her mouth now tasted like orange and nothing else.

"Why can't we just throw Boomie at it? Or Levitate. But I don't think throwing him at it would do that much."

Cass tries to ignore Boomie. Using cannonballs had been her first idea. But now they couldn't do that...

Levi contemplates for a second before suddenly deciding on a course of action.

"BLOW IT UP! Blow up the front door, ill get more bodies that way."

bodies, bodies, bodies, bodies, bodies.

"I definitely need more bodies, front door it is. Go Boomie!"

Levi points down towards the front gate and the pumpkins begin to descend and fly towards the front gates.

Boomie turns towards cass as she suggests throwing him.

"oi oi oi..."

Levi started to throw his pumpkins at the door, which shocked and caused Boomie to become alarmed with his suggestion to blow it up.

"HOW THE HELL AM I SPOSE TO HIT IT WIT THOSE THINGS FLYING ABOUT?! I DON'T GOT NO BOMBS ON ME! I USED MY SPECIAL GRENADES TO BLOW UP THE BAR!...although, they did add a nice affect to things...i knew i shoulda got more, but nooo, you said go to Sabaody, there will be plenty of bombs there, well guess what! there ain't any good ones!"

Boomie starts to regain his composure.

Cass sat up as the pumpkins descended. She finally got around to realizing that something wasn't quite right when she went to draw her guns. She had bottles of rum in the holsters. That was good. But then where were the guns? As if in response to her confusion she noted something wrong with her skirt. She had guns down the front of her skirt. That was also good. But they were cold. That was not good. She drew her guns, adjusted her skirt and then instinctively checked her ammo. She found none.

"What do you mean you don't have any bombs? You always have bombs. Even when we don't want you to have bombs. You have bombs! LOTS AND LOTS OF BOMBS!! THAT'S WHY YOUR NAME IS BOOMIE!!!"

Cass went about finding her bullets to reload.

"Well, since the bomber-man is apparently out of bombs. Can we throw him at the door now? He may still work as a battering ram."

Levi intently listens to Chibi's suggestion.

~Meanwhile inside Levi's head~

Angel Levi: Don't do it, Boomie is your friend.

Demon Levi: There are bodies inside, lots and lots of bodies

Angel Levi: You might hurt him, you don't hurt your friends Levi.

Demon Levi: Lots and LOTS of bodies...............

~Back in the real world~

"BATTERING RAM BOOMIE GO!"

Levi points towards the gate, Boomie's jack jack balloon rocketing forward before suddenly halting hurling Boomie head first towards the gate. As Boomie is flying towards the gate the other two balloons hover above the ground waiting for the gate to break.

Boomie gets thrown through the air, and in reaction he puts his cannon arm in front of him, and upon contact with the door, being such a big target, all the impact dials on the side of the cannon are triggered. His momentum, the wait of his self and his cannon, plus the impact dials, easily destroyed the door, in fact, the door seemed to explode into hundreds of pieces, leaving Boomie lie there amongst the rubble on his back.

"Gah!...you could have...just...given me...a damn fruity-bomb..."

Boomie acts as if he fell unconscious.

Cass looks surprised at the scale of the impact. Enough to make her look up from reloading her gun. Not that she needed to look to reload, but it was just so pretty that she didn't want to waste the opportunity.

"Wow. It actually worked." She said quietly, with only Levi being able to hear her.

She cocked her guns and tried to sense if any marines were around to shoot. If not now, after the battering-ram-boomie-gatecrashing, there soon would be. She noticed Boomie lying on the rubble, not getting up.

"Hey, Levi. It looks like Boomie needs you to doctor him."

"YAY INJURIES!

Levi floats over towards where Boomie lies "unconscious", Chibi's balloon coming with him. the balloon's settling down on the ground next to Boomie. Levi casually inspects him.

"Hmm his legs are hurt pretty bad."

As he is saying this Levi indicates towards a single scratch on Boomie's calf, it isnt even bleeding but it must be serious or he wouldn't be unconscious.

"I'll need to replace them with something, possibly swords or maybe clubs. Now where did my saw go........"

Levi begins to dig around in his satchel that is always worn around his shoulders; Gregory slipping off his shoulder from the movement of the strap, his pigeon wings kicking into action as he hovers around Levi's head."

Boomie suddenly awakes in a rage.

"WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU WERE PLANNING TO DO WITH ME YOU DAMNED PSYCHO! ITS A SCRATCH! LIKE HELL I WOULD BE UNCONSCIOUS FROM THAT!"

Boomie gets up and brushes himself off and starts looking around.

"Where's that damn brat..."

Cass stumbles off the balloon, the last of her hangover lingering. Boomie sounded angry. Which was very logical. He had every right to be angry. The problem was that he was angry at her. Which was very logical. He had every right to be angry at her. That was the problem.

"Oh! Thank god you're safe Boomie!" she shouted, melodramatically.

Cass ran over and straight into boomie, attempting a hug but only able to squeeze at his sides. That was about all that could be expected when she was hugging a man who towered over her so far, that her head barely reached his rib cage.

"I was worried you might have been hurt!"

She managed to keep a straight face and hoped that it would be enough to get her out of any retribution or rebuke. For now. She only needed to act while he was angry.

"Awww I almost had a new set of legs."

As Levi is getting all disappointed about not getting Boomie's legs the marines that were caught in the blast of the gate being Boomie'd in start getting back to their feet, realizing that pirates are actually doing something as stupid as raiding a marine base.

Levi see's the marines getting up and he can only think one thing.

"BAR FIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT!"

Levi runs head first through the gate and into the group of marines that had reassembled.

Spin, spin, spin, spin, spin

He immediately un-slings his cross and begins spinning in circles with it held out horizontally, knocking the marines back down. Who would have expected the small weedy guy to be the front liner.
