| Kurapika was a total boss in this episode! It's nice to finally be able to see his chains in action and motion. He has a really cool fighting style. Things got a little boring for me once they started explaining stuff about who was the real plant and all of that jazz, however I still enjoyed the episode nonetheless. Looks like things are moving towards Yorknew City at an interesting pace. Can't wait for next week's episode! |

 Wait, this episode was epic. I didn't ever even realize Kurapika could be this amazing, and it wasn't even a real fight of sorts. Now I can't wait for this arc too truly get going. I also love that they are still doing the flashy jpn characters with the attack names, looks really stylish always. Killua had a nice outfit upgrade. 41 can't come soon enough. |

| I have to agree that this episode was a vast improvement from the previous one, but like one commenter pointed out, it feels a little weak emotions-wise. I hate comparing both version because I am fond of both of them, but while MH's version has superior animation, the previous version did a better job of setting a heavier tone to the situations and I think that is mostly because MH's OST doesn't help at all and kills most of what should be a darker mood. Other than that, this episode was really good! Kurapika still looks a little weird with longer hair but it's a matter of getting used to his new look, I guess. Also, I was smiling when the flashback of the four main characters agree to reunite on September 1st happened. Can't wait to see them together again! <3 |

| I have no problems with the OST this episode. There was really nothing too serious or dark in this episode so it fits perfectly. The filler felt very natural and they have done a great job with Basho and the others. Also remember guys YorkNew arc doesn't really start until next week. The last four episodes have merely been set up. |

| I enjoyed watching the fight and figuring out who did what. Eager to see them all together, especially Leorio, since we haven't seen what he's been up to in a while. 4/5 |

| ^ Actually they're certain scenes where Kurapika does explode and becomes incoherent. So what madhouse is doing isn't something that will change the overall outcome of his characterization. As soon as he he was done training for 6 moths he had nothing else on his mind but his goal. He's also the type of person who doesn't like other people getting involved in his business. So the less he gets to know someone the better. That's what madhouse is trying to represent IMO. So you can't really look into Kurapika's characterization just yet though. The arc is still just beginning. |

| Still excellent show as always! Loved the animation this episode especially the dodging but the chains were great too, dunno why people are saying it sucked. More build up toward the Troupe for next week! Other thoughts Awkward repetition is awkward from Kurapika but whatever, guess Madhouse couldn't think of anything else to fill 22 min with without going into the next chapter :P Funny to see Squala turned into a masochist lol especially the reactions from Kurapika and Basho. |
