5HAD0WFREAK said: okay, where do I start?... first two episodes were simply amazing and got me really interested. Then this one really failed my expectations. And the reason why is quite simple. as everyone said, it's way too rushed! at the rate it's going, I feel like its going to end in just a few episodes more. With that, there is not nearing enough time to expand on the ideas/concepts/characters of the game. I thought this would be in depth and they would make it interesting to watch, but suddenly I'm thinking otherwise. The second episode it showed how difficult is is to even find the floor master, let alone try to slay him. but at the start of this episode, it was said that the top group already made it to floor 28? wtf?! I mean really? I thought Kirito was the strongest, and even he struggled just to beat the lvl 1 floor master, so how did a bunch of noobies manage to pull that off in such a short time? And what was kirito doing while everyone else was clearing these floors? What's more is later in the episode, it said that he was on floor 49 with a bunch of people around enjoying Christmas. How did it go from floor 28 to 49 in only just half an episode? Everyone was all casually enjoying Christmas on floor 49, they make it seem far too easy to beat this game. If it's that simple, why did they make it seem so difficult on the second episode? I'm having a hard time grasping this anime and the speed that it's going at.
Another thing that bothers me is the characters. What is up with Kirito? I just can't figure out what he is thinking about. it seemed like he had problems joining groups of people at first from what we saw in the first two episodes, if so why did he so casually join a group from the start of this episode? And why such a weak group? Why not join a stronger group of players, like beta-testers such as himself?
whatever happened to that group of players that he was with in the second episode? and what about that girl from before that he slayed the floor master with? I feel like the characters are so weakly introduced and developed. Even the main character doesn't make any sense. He acted all badass in episode 2, but now he's all nice again, what's up with that? Why is he not trying to clear the floors or advance like everyone else is doing? This anime is making almost no sense to me at all. I started off good, then it suddenly took a turn for the stupid out of nowhere. I thought this would be a more through anime that covered everything in depth step by step, I feel like it could have been really successful as well if only it knew how to pace and develop the story/characters better. This is ridiculous! why do animes like one piece, bleach, naruto go on for hundreds of episodes when most animes are only just a few episodes long? Why don't animes try to be more successful or make an anime worth watching? The problem is that the retarded creators don't know how to pace themselves of make a decent well developed story with characters. All in all, I'm disappointed with this anime. I'll keep watching it, but only just because I'm curious to see where it will go from here if nothing else. I can't recommend or rate it very high though because of all the reasons I mentioned.
there were timeskips when kirito cleared the first level and when the black cats died, it is unclear what kirito did in the first timeskip but its assumed he was still fighting alone in the dungeons because of his high level and probably finding the boss room and giving the information to argo who would then give it to the clearing guilds, also there were tons of noobies in the first stages of aincrad but now more guilds have formed and now their are more experienced players, clearing guilds have been formed (guilds that fight the final boss) so they are now the people who clear the levels, so kirito is basically helping out in the shadows
its already mentioned before why kirito joined the black cats but ill repeat and save you time looking through past pages, but simply it was because he was lonely, soloing for a very long time kirito had found a place where he could belong
they rushed this episode because they needed to move the story along to cover the other arcs that are about to come, its not the directors fault or anything, its just that they were allocated a specific timeline where they can air 1 episode a week, so they can't just take their time and drag out all the arcs so some arcs need to be rushed in order to get the more important ones across, it happens quite a lot in anime adaptations so im just glad SAO got a 24-26 episodes |
