I can just see it now, right before he starts training to take on the world Ippo gets hit by a truck and then Itagaki is the new main character. |

I want to jump onto the celebration train but, It looks like Kaichou is having Ippo run away from Itagaki imo. Especially from Saeki's reactions. Any way, at least we might finally get to see Ippo in a world title match!  |

Damn, only the last two pages of this chapter were nice. Though I don't think we will have a match before chapter 1000, considering we need to see some training chapters first, probably. Not that I mind, because before every good fight has been an entertaining training chapter. I do hope that it will not be in the mountains again, though, because then we'll probably have to wait until 1050 or so before the match is finally here. I wonder if there is a reader of Ippo who has not lived long enough for the world series .... Jesus christ I have been waiting for years >.> But I can't say I got bored with this series or anything, actually I think of it as one of the best so far :p  |
