Hmm so they start off by basically killing off all the characters they just introduced. So this means that we will get a prologue following Yomi's downfall and eventually leading towards the introduction of Kagura and the manga's protagonist. I personally don't mind them showing how Yomi kicked ass prior to the events of Ga-Rei. The girl in the seifuku might be Yomi...

That was the most amazing first episode ive seen for an anime in a long time o_O....so this isn't based on the manga? Or is this just an intro to the world of the manga? Either way it was completely AWESOME with the motorcycle battles and the amazing end....I want more! The music was amazing as well.

Yeah the bgm blended perfectly with the scenes. Though major point deduction for lack of Kagura love ='(

OK.... what just happened?? killing of all the characters in the first episode... this just has me waiting to see the next episode.

and that girl using her bike to fight the ghost was the best scene i have seen.

One more chance and I'm leaving this anime...

As I keep watching this, I keep thinking that Shaft would have done an awesome job :S

They should at start getting on with the main storyline by epi 2... right?

what a weird firs episode...

about 85% of the ep i thought:
"too much action. no character development. nice animation. good voices.
it'd be sad if the characters stay that flat for the whole series just for the sake of action scenes even though they had so much potential. but maybe they just want to grab the attention of the people and the storyline will start with the next ep. kind of like a teaser"

well and the ending surprised me big time...
all the characters that i so hoped to get more background information on - they all died...
and now i read that these were all characters that don't exist in the manga...

cant get my thoughts about that together but i'll definitely watch episode 2. let's hope there's a little more character development before they slaughter the next set of main characters (lol)

Hmm.. This anime should not end quit, it might be some others anime that start with an intro and begin the story on the 2nd episode, when that guy meet that girl. I dunno how is it on the manga thought.

what the hell was that??? how is this related with the manga....?? btw wtf happen to the girl with the sword... in the flashback she tells the guy with the orange suit to kill the girl and now she kills the whole teams? well lets wait for episode 2 the anime is said to be taken after the manga... so lets wait

WTF weirdest show ever, but i have to admit it, everyone is BADASS.

When I started this, I was comparing this to Chrono Crusade. In the end, I was seeing similiarities with Ghost in the Shell.

But, couldn't care less. Natsuki was showing copious amounts of badass from start to finish, especially the scene where she dealt a roundhouse kick to the Category Cs with her fucking motorcycle. Hell, I want tyre threads like hers too while I'm at it.

I can't wait for the second episode, and maybe a proper OP and ED next time.
