I thought it royally sucked. It was pretty much all about how wonderful Japan and the Japanese are. That's all the main character kept mouthing off about, that's all. The story and characters were just plain terrible. The art wasn't very good either, especially comparing it to Berserk. Biggest beef with it, though, has to be the character Azuma. This was a nonstop Japan is wonderful parade and yet the guy looked like Jesus. WTF? |

Ahahahahahahaha oh wow. So deliciously fascist, they even let the symbol for peace to willingly give everything over to the incarantion of nationalism and violence, can it be more obvious? But unlike some iconic fascist propaganda, there's not even anything good with the presentation. It's all terrible. How could this guy have written Sanctuary? It defies everything. |

This manga was so funny, and yet terrible at the same time! |

This manga was okay. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't a masterpiece either, and I thought it had a bit too much propaganda. Considering the authors, I expected something way better! |

Fucking propaganda bullshit. I know, many of those machismo action mangaka are nationalists, but they normally have at least the decency to not make it THIS obvious. |
In 9/10 cases, the worst thing about an anime is its fandom. |

The man behind Berserk and the writer of Sanctuary teaming up must = masterpiece, right? Nope. A bunch of xenophobic right wing ranting sand the worst examples of Japenese insecurities wrapped around an awful contrived fantasy setting. Really poor and overall disappointing. |

The berserk parallels were all over the place, looks like yashima was a prototype for guts' fights. The story of the manga itself was horrible but worth reading to see how miura's signature art style looked like in it's early stages. |

It is licensed in quite a few languages - English is one of them. |
My Rereads | My Favorite Mangaka | Soylent Green Buy stuff, or buy at least your favorites if you can afford it - Don't be lame. D W-W&N 🤍 MAL is a far cry from being my main literature site, that's why I won't be doing mere single chapter updates anymore. Manga- aka Baka-Updates + 2 French ones are miles better and more thorough/complete + less restricting. The latter are perfectly suited for Manga/Light Novel/Books collectors such as myself. Less stressful/tiring this way. -g- |

Easily one of the worst manga I've ever read. |
