Is this any good? I voted for it to win a community deal and it never did. That is pretty cheap.

I enjoyed it, and I know most of my friends have.

At $3 you really can't go wrong though.

As a warning, it can get pretty difficult.

Not a bad game. Easily the most detailed space sim I've ever played, which hasn't been many, but I was impressed nonetheless.

More than the X series?

Haven't played it, haven't seen it.

Evochron Mercenary has a lot of information displayed and variables to control, though. It has a lot of little touches like routing power from one system to another. For example, your ship has 4 shield arrays (front, both sides, back), and you can transfer power to reinforce a failing side from the other three, or equalize them. You also set the power ratio of shields to weapons.
