Kuroko no Basket selling so high both in the manga and LN sides. Me is proud.
Bakuman's last volume is pretty high still.
And looking at Nurarihyon's numbers really baffles me as to why they would cancel its weekly publication and have it wrap up in NEXT. Another week would raise its numbers close to 250k which is a pretty decent sales numbers. Guess having good sales didn't exactly give it an immunity with it getting low votes in polls. Dammit WSJ.
SAO vol1 is getting some sales again I see. Vol10 was just released 2 days ago so I'll have to wait next week for its figures.
And I freaking need to read Biblia Koshodou no Jiken Techou. Them sales really surprises me.

no. it ended naturally. many say that due to the fact that the manga recently got a daughter, he will work slowly. Mago wasn't cancelled. :)

Damn Kuroko is selling like a beast - I remember that volume 17 sold 184,176 copies TOTAL - but 246k in the first week? Yeah, there's no doubt of a second season.

Natsume <333333

Good for SKET Dance, hopefully another 50 episodes of the anime is on the way!

Actually, news came out that the author decided to go on a break. His work wasn't popular in Jump anyway so the editors decided to move Nura to Next for the final arc.

it wasn't popular in the shonen jump magazine, but it made more money than beelzebub and medaka put together...

I'm guessing that if a title has an established tankoubon sales record, but a weak magazine reader ranking, then moving it to a less competitive magazine doesn't hurt much; people buying the tankoubon volumes will likely continue to do so even if it switches magazines (especially people brought on by the anime, not by reading Jump), while freeing up page space in Jump itself for something new.

Though granted, the lower visibility from not being in Jump could lower tankoubon sales in the long run I guess. But maybe not before the managka finishes? I can't claim to know anything about Nurarihyon specifically, having only watched a few episodes of the anime and never read the manga.

Yet the problem is that it's not like DGM that continues serialization even when transferred to a different magazine. Though that one is more because the author has bad health.
In the case of Nurarihyon, it's given only 3 more chapters(albeit 50-60 pages) to wrap it up. Considering it still has some things left in its story to wrap up, I feel like it's not enough to do so. Hence why I said that it may have been cancelled despite its sales due to the reader polls.

actually, on the WSJ journal, people have said that the reason the manga got bad rankings was because the author always submitted his stuff in the last minute due to his wife being pregnant. Hunter X Hunter also gets the same treatment due to its hiatuses.

Shiibashi's wife also recently gave birth to a daughter so I guess he has to look after her too.

Not really.
Vol. 15 of Medaka is quite close in numbers with vol. 16 for the first week and will likely reach a bit higher compared to the second week of the previous volume but not much.
But wow, Kuroko received a big boost in manga sales and may fetch more next week.

Seems pretty normal this week. DVD/BD/CD always gets posted on Tuesday (this week's here) and manga gets posted on Wednesday night or Thursday morning (all depending on your time zone of course). Maybe manga was a couple hours later than usual, if that, but not a day or anything.

Hope their next work won't take forever, I hope for their and Togashi's (HxH's) comeback soon. I also agree about Bakuman, it deserves 1st place, kinda expected more but still good to see it selling well, what's a bit of unclear though is whether the 3rd season is gonna cover the remaining chapters or not, or a possible 4th season (Fall 2013? Spring 2013?), guess we gotta wait and see.

If I recall correctly, Bakuman S3 is slated for 25 episodes, and S1-2 together barely cover just over the first half of the manga. Unless they seriously rush the pacing in S3 in order to fit the remainder of the manga in it (which I doubt), I find an S4 highly likely.

No wonder the KuroBasu Fanbook is like a unicorn.

When I went to buy it just to realize I don't have enough money with me and decided to come back later it was already sold out! (=_=)

Anyway, looks like WSJ manga dominated the top again! (^_^)

Bakuman will be missed.
