I prefer newer art styles but sometimes I don't mind old art styles like Dragonball but something like Sailor Moon I don't really like. But it just depends because there's many different types of art styles

Most of which are dependent on the show/artist and not the era they happen to have been made in.

Well it all depends. Some "new" anime take on the oldish art styles while old ones can have a different style as well.

Each anime varies, some New anime style sucks and some old styles suck as well, its just how the artist decides how to draw. .-.

Do you like the newer art style of recent years, or do you prefer the older kind of around the 90s or 2000s? I prefer the art of today, but that's biased because I have only started regularly watching anime as of a couple years ago.
For example, Hunter x Hunter vs Hunter x Hunter (2011) (remake)

After being exposed to everything in recent years, it's really hard for me to watch an older anime. The only ones that i am able to watch now is the ones that I've already seen, but as for starting a new series it's hard for me to do....I just love the "newer" age of animation so much more.

New.

It's all clean and moe XDDDDD

I especially like VN art and tsunderes.

It was a big mistake to think that you're the only one who can turn into a car. I'm a car now too!

I definitely prefer the new style. I like the old style as well, but the newer art is definitely more visually pleasing to me.

I agree! c:

Negative connotations can be a bitch to market. Don't get pissy at me because of how/why people use certain words.

I wasn't being pissy. :C

New, old......? I don't know the style changes depending on the company doesn't it? I do know I don't like the art of Kimi no Toke....whatever that anime is called and it took me a while to get use to Bokura ga ita's art.

But I do enjoy the art of Story of Saiunkoku so for me it depends on the company I guess.

I do know I hate the earlier art from the nineteen nineties like Astro Boy, Yu Yu is the only nineties anime I enjoy til this day.
