Haha, I'm even throwing myself off! But I decided this glorious show needed to be rep'd, plus my Mononoke profile picture is for good.

I don't know guys. I think that if we always look at the most negative effects of any upgrade or new feature we would only be left with the basic tools. In the same way you are saying that the "thank you" system won't work because of those who will use it badly, I can say that the recommendation system is absurd because many -if not most- people make very general and decontextualized comparisons between very different shows ("both are very character-driven and they are awesome!!!!"). Any new thing in the forum tends to be positive, if only because of the novelty and the ability to attract new boarders or to get some others to post more frequently. And as long as its use is voluntary, anybody can choose to make use of it in the way they decide.

Well since most of you dislike the up vote system, we at least need a better search system..even adding instant search would be neat, start typing in an anime you wanna find and a suggestions pops up...but i hate having to second guess making a post because idk if one is already been made because it's been buried so deep in the forum.
