I want to see what the show thinks we're like. She better chug maple syrup, riding a polar bear while playing hockey, or I'll call shenanigans. Only example I've seen so far didn't do any of above still she writing everything in kanji and having problems with English tests (but that I think was only in manga) and here she is but this series looks nice - not original but it may be fun (and it's all that matters) |

Or at least her seiyuu was. Saw a clip on Youtube and watched the show for this voice alone. Hilarious and fantastic. Anyway, about this show. I love the idea of chibi-comedies, even though they seldom turn out to be anything special. Maybe this one will be. Gonna check it out. |

http://0taku.livedoor.biz/archives/4273795.html Dogakobo for animation studio. That makes me very happy, as I've almost always found their shows quite enjoyable, especially Yuru Yuri and Koihime Musou. This will be right up their alley. BUY YUYUSHIKI BDS ALL DAY EVERY DAY |

I think its weird that mal only has the other characters listed an none are the ones that are stated in the manga's info. So I'm wondering if they are doing it differently then the manga itself. Which is a shame since I was looking forward to the black hair/red eye girl with the fox mask to the side of her face. |

A spin-off from characters from the great anime of all time. This can only mean this will become the second greatest anime of all time. If you don't agree with me, then you're simply wrong. |

The title of the thread is incorrect, the anime ended up being just the original GJ-bu, not GJ-bu Chuutoubu. Notice that the last non-necrobump in the thread was August 2012... A Chuutoubu sequel has not been announced and seems somewhat unlikely with GJ-bu's low BD sales. BUY YUYUSHIKI BDS ALL DAY EVERY DAY |

That doesn't seem to low, about average compared to other 2013 shows. I'm going to remain optimistic about either a Season 2 or a Chuutoubu spin-off. |

In fact I really want a love story between Jill and Kyouya ._. |

The anime apparently adapted the entire LN, so there is no material for a second season. |

The only way a late night anime under 3k gets a sequel is if it drives a major increase in sales of the original manga/novel. Like Kore wa Zombie Desu ka? for example. But it's not common. Compounding that, it's averaging less than 3k at extremely cheap prices. GJ-bu is priced at ¥2,030/episode. Most 1 cour shows are closer to ¥3,465-3,570/episode. So basically, an average of 3,000 for GJ-bu would be the equivalent of most other shows averaging about 1,750. yhunata said: The anime apparently adapted the entire LN, so there is no material for a second season. Are you sure they animated the GJ-bu Chuutoubu spinoff? I would assume there's a lot more material about the imouto. Chuutoubu is also ongoing, though it's only been publishing a year. The guys in the episode discussion thread were saying they animated the entire LN. As for Chuutobu, aren't the imoutos in their first year of middle-school? By the time they get to high-school, not even Tama will be left. |

I'm not sure what year they're in, but since the title has "middle school" in it, I assume it wouldn't need to wait until they're in high school. Plus Kasumi starts that club well before their older siblings graduated, so we would probably see them now and again. So I assume a spinoff would be explicitly set in the middle school, during largely the same time as main GJ-bu. (Not that I think we're likely to see it animated anyway.) I'd also like to see a spin-off with the GJ-bu : Imouto Version, but I just don't think GJ-bu would be the same without Kyoro and co being the main focus. |
