It made me chuckle and laugh during some parts of the episode. However, I don't have the desire to see another episode after this. I am not saying that this is a bad series, obviously, it is the first episode so it would not be logical to give the series a bad rating.

I gave this show my attention to see if it would be worth it to continue watching and it is a 'no' for me. I just don't care for the harem-masochist-tsundere theme.

It was good. I especially appreciated that it assumed that the viewer CAN THINK. There's so much hate on moe-anime because it's brainless fanservice, but I loved this one because I actually found myself rewatching the episode several times and doing some research on events to fully immerse myself in the events and underlying motivations of Sengoku-era Japan. for instance, it took me some research to actually figure out that the reason Saito Dousan and Nobuna(ga) were so anxious about the alliance was because of the ongoing threat of the Imagawa hanging over their heads.

To this day, I still have no idea what lighting the matchlocks achieved, other than increasing preparedness and reaction time...

The animation is superb just as to be expected from MADHOUSE.
Though besides the animation and kawaii beautiful girls everything else was kinda meh and I don't even see any potential in a storyline likes this, but the kawaii girls gonna keep me watching this.
that little ninja girl, Goemon I think, was extremely cute and her voice was just perfect

After 'Sengoku Collection' I started to doubt any anime that has feudal Japan for the main theme, but this one isn't bad. Seems to be a light comedy with lots of action. So far I love all the female characters, they're all really cute.

Bit cliched but still pretty entertaining. Nobuna is very cute and the fact that Monkey knows everything that'll happen could make for an interesting story. How the hell he got 450 years in the past is anyone's guess though.

I would not talk too much of that. Would you really bitch if this anime gave the studio $$$ to make something you like?

I think not and there is sometimes no choice to do this in order to get $$$. Sadly how the world works and if you have better solution by all means act on them. Else this show is a good thing for the studio. It can get them the money they need to make something EPIC!

If by Owari, you meant Mino Province, then half-and-half. He wanted to, and he knew he was going to have to, but he was hesitating. So yes, he wanted to, but he didn't exactly 'plan' for it.

They won't happen. The convention will have them first. I am expecting more a VN hentai game out. It would make more money from this. For Madhouse too.

Hell yeah another anime about the Sengoku period where all of the generals are girls instead of guys. And this time there's actually a guy involved and there's going to be some romance, great. All of the girls look pretty cute with Nobuna especially so. And that loli ninja is just soooo adorable as was Nene. I am gunna be looking forward to seeing this one.

It sure is an enjoying show, but isn't this kind of show insulting the memory of this Oda Nobunaga, and the same to other generals? I cant understand how they turn them into girls, will this work as well as Saber-Great Alexander in fate zero?

Same here, I knew just enough about this period to be confused so I did some quick reading before coming here. One thing I immediately noticed is they seriously screwed with Nene's character's status.

Lighting the matches would have taken considerable time when you're using flint and steel to get a fire started, or (as probably the actual case) waiting for the guy with the ready firepot to get to you in the line. With the matches lit and a charge in the gun you can immediately respond to any ambush. Given it could take a couple of minutes to get your match lit using flint and steel, it would mean the difference between life and death.

However, the threat of accidents with matchlock guns was very high, as a stray spark could ignite your neighbor's gun or, even worse, your own or your neighbor's powder case. Thus the reason they wouldn't keep them lit except if expecting to use them.

The king of all 17-year-old boys slips back to the Sengoku period, and all the great historical leaders are randomly girls. Amazing! I sure hope he's the guy to unite Japan in this doomed timeline. He undeniably fits the image!

Usually, main characters like this bother me, but his idiocy is surprisingly really, really comical. Even though harems bother me as well, I sure hope (and know) this will be a harem. It will make me take this show more seriously than I already am.

His semi-useful and vast knowledge of videogames almost makes him a seer in feudal Japan. Are there really samurai fighting games that historically accurate?

The "physics" bothers me (does armor really work that way?), but whatever~

Oda reminds me of Morrowind. Wasn't that plantation near Seyda Neen or something?

QUESTION: What's up with all these nicknames? I'm super weak on the Sengoku Period, so is it some traditional Japanese practice or cute moe?

"Breast Physics" is a little known and poorly understood phenomenon. The only thing we know for certain is that it appears to be stronger than the other, better known, natural forces (gravity, electromagnetic, strong nuclear and weak nuclear). It's entirely possible that the reason the scientific community has been unable to come up with a unified model is because they have not yet understood this fifth fundamental force of nature. Personally, I think it may have something to do with the Higgs Boson, but this is probably not the place to discuss such things.

How many is that now? Featuring cute girls as Sengoku era's popular people? We need more actual stories that's at least somewhat closer to the real thing. Hell probably something along the lines of Rurouni Kenshin or Samurai Champloo in the era of the Warring States would be enough to pique my curiousity more than this.

The main character kinda confuses me. At first he acts like an idiot, then he does something smart, then he does something smart that you wouldn't normally do if you were in that situation, and then he goes back to a perverted idiot. Then again it has harem written behind it in a way so I can't expect all that much.

There was quite a few lacks of important realism in this first episode. Not to mention the characters don't seem to be all that new or unique in any way. The animation was pretty top-notch and you can't deny that all the girls were really stunning. This show could turn into something pretty cool if it adds more to the characters and story.

(shrug) The main character is a male teen from the modern world who sudden finds himself in feudal Japan, for all practical purposes an foreign world to him in terms of social norms and expectations. At first he thinks it is a dream even. Then he realizes it is not and he also realizes he is VERY familiar with the history of the period and could take advantage of it. There is a period of adjustment as he gets used to being in this new environment. 17 year old guys spend 90% of their time, awake or asleep, thinking about girls, so that in and of itself doesn't bother me. He does voice out about it a little more than he should and I would be happier if he controlled his outburst, but he is not what I consider out of hand as a character compared to most anime male leads - for instance, he has yet to accidentally grab somebody's boobs or have one of the girls sit on his face and he get a nose bleed or something.

noyoureinsane said:

It is VERY VERY hard to find ANY show, animated or live action, that is 100% realistic or accurate. What in particular bothered you? I noticed several small things, but nothing jumped out at me. If your concern is historical accuracy, to me the assumption is that this is an alternate history that is similar to, but not quite like, our our history.

Hmm, looks quite nice for a harem-like anime. Male lead doesn't look like a total idiot and has some worth in the plot. Comedy it's self wasn't bad and the art is fantastic (IMO).

Good episode, although I can't quite understand the protagonist. I felt like when things got serious, it didn't fit the mood of the rest of the episode, which was fun and stuff. They also jumped straight into things, which felt like a lot of information and characters at once. Still, it wasn't bad. 3.5/5
