It was more or less what I expected. Fluid action and a stylish battle sequence at the end. It didn't deliver anything that was wow worthy, or jaw dropping, but the episode was quite enjoyable and I felt it was a fun watch. The show lacks some serious charm and a good hook to get people to watch. It seems the whole, cute girl with big guns market has long since been overplayed, but I think the overall consensus is that "we were expecting more." With so many negatives working against it, it's going to be hard for people to simply just watch it and enjoy it for what it is. Entertainment. It didn't really push any envelopes, but it wasn't a terrible episode either. This episode played it safe, and gave us elements that we are all familiar with. Hopefully we will see some better material to come in future episodes. It wasn't bad though, it really wasn't. |

Slightly disappointed with this shows first episode, but I think it'll improve in next episode. I won't give up on this beforea few more episodes. |

It was okay, but I am going to continue watching simply because I totally love the voices of Akiyama Nana and Hasome Tatsuya, they are a refreshing change. |

i thought it was ok. wasn't totally impressed. not as bloody/gory as i thought it would be. Animation was pretty nice though. You could defintely tell from the style that it was done by Gainex. |

Meh, it is okay. Still better than Kemeko DX. Though that's not saying much. ![]() |

I was so looking forward to this one but this episode didn't impress me. Maybe later on the show will. I'll keep watching ^_^ "It is impossible to make people understand their ignorance, for it requires knowledge to perceive it; and, therefore, he that can perceive it hath it not." |

I think this show will be decent but nothing more and nothing less. But I will give it a bit more of a chance. Even if it sucks I won't drop it just cause its fun watching someone shoot at monsters with duel uzies. |

It was an okay start, nothing too special, although I'm loving the art style so I'll keep it for that reason alone. It's Gainax, so I'm hopelessly biased... |

I actually thought that was a very good first episode. It was crafted carefully enough to draw me in, answering some questions but leaving a few things unsaid. It's sometimes hard to get that balance right. I liked the animation and the premise sounds interesting if done right. All I need is some more character development and I reckon I'll quite like this one. Your search on "Oran Solus" returned the following quotes: "Oran Solus? I know him. What a wanker. He still owes me a tenner." Oscar Wilde "Oran, you're so intelligent and awesome <3" Bakayaro "Oran's sexy." LolitaDecay "Oran is a sophisticated penguin." Drybananna "Oran is a Hand-Eye you faggots." EddieSpaghetti "Oran for Prime Minister." the_prime_one "Oran is all that is stated in his sig and more." orbitzz |

It was ok, but I'm not gonna judge it now. The only thing of any relevance I have to say now is that the ending theme (or maybe the opening for the next episodes?) is really awesome. |

Hmm.. I'm kind of interested to see which direction this anime is going. Like what's up with the talking cat for example? What does that have to do with anything? |

I'm gonna be like most of you guys and say that it wasn't bad. It'd the first episode so and I wasn't really expecting something big. Overall it wasn't bad and I'll probably be watching the rest of it. |

For me the talking cat was the best part. I'm not sure what was wrong with it. I didn't hear hype so it wasn;t my expectations... The pacing of the anime might have been a bit off for me |

Mediocre episode, I was surprised to see her fight with guns and not swords. Aside from the fact that the seiyuu are killing me, it could be considered better than average. 3/5 |
