You know which ones I'm talking about. The ones where start off really good and leave a nice cliffhanger after each episode, but then slowly start getting boring or predictable later on.

Post your thoughts.

Kaiji. Has an incredibly tense first arc, but becomes boring, predictable, and frankly hard to watch after that.

Bleach started off really exciting and funny, but it definitely began to deteriorate in quality at some point. It's not anywhere near as enjoyable.

Death Note was incredibly gripping for much of the first half, but for the rest of the first half up until the very end at 26, it became increasingly boring to watch.

Also Bokura ga Ita and Itazura na Kiss.

Pretty much my thoughts. In fact, as much as people complain about the last half of the show, I consider the part you put in spoilers to be the true low point to the series. I'd actually even go so far as to say the last half is an (almost) return to form.

Naruto before filler hell.
Shakugan no Shana started off well before turning into a train wreck.
Another was a good horror series before the beach episode. Then it turned into black comedy.
Death Note after Near and Mello showed up.

Mirai Nikki.

the pilot was extremely solid, then the hype rapidly diminished. Another is a notable one yet already mentioned.

Cardfight Vanguard's Second season is like that to me at the moment. It's becoming a chore to watch instead of something to look forward to.

Soul eater for me. About half way through it started to drag a bit. And that ending.....ugh. I still like it though.

Rurouni Kenshin, after the Shishio arc. Every arc after that seemed more absurd than the last and, by the time it reached the Feng Shui arc, it became barely bearable.

GunGrave, after the flashback episodes; Brilliant build up to a predictable latter half, though I still enjoyed the conclusion.

Nabari no Ou, after about the first quarter. The initial build up and the character introductions were very well done, but then the sappy drama kicked in.

Another: when we reach the point that everyone was dying just for the sake of having blood in each episode everything went downhill. The ending was a total disappointment.

Bleach: I did found the first arc pretty interesting, then everything got out of control: fillers everywhere, pointless episodes, and well just a another of those long running shows that you end hating.

ChäoS;HEAd: why did this become one of the worst things I ever watched after such a nice beginning?! Top point is 6th episode, everything after it is just NO.

Mawaru Penguindrum: many people seems to like this, ok the first part was very nice, but when the director started to get high and putting "woah supah plot twists" in each episode I didn't know what I was watching anymore. o_O

Mirai Nikki: well this is manga's fault, the middle part is kinda boring. But it's anime's fault to rush things in the best arc. At least the ending was well animated.

Shakugan no Shana: Took me years to finish the second season. The characters just stopped being interesting after doing the same reactions again and again.

Tsubasa Chronicle: Why make useless fillers when you got tons of manga material?!

Vampire Knight Guilty: I regret watching this, my likeness for the series dropped drastically after finishing this thing.

To my experience, Kuroshitsuji. I believe the "shit" in its name is no coincidence.

Also Hetalia. It was greatly devalued LONG time ago and yet people, mostly preteen girls still tuned to it just to see their favorite bishies than anything else.

The Soul Society arc was pretty much the high point of Bleach.

Also:
Blassreiter (first eight episodes are pretty intense. Afterwards they don't even try to make you feel for the characters anymore)

Railgun (you would think a simple pandering show that amounted to K-On! with superpowers and yuri antics would be hard to mess up but J.C. Staff somehow did. I'll stick with the manga)

Boku wa Tomodachi (The first four episodes are quite sharp. Then it introduces more characters than it can handle and doesn't really let them develop anyway. It should have just stuck to Kodaka, Yozora, and Sena)

Code Geass R2 (must I explain why?!)
