| It's not possible to have an animated .gif image as profile picture. When you upload a profile picture it is always converted into .jpg format so the animation information gets lost and you will only have a static image. For forum avatars you can use animated gifs. If there's a problem with the image you should get an error message. If you don't get a message and it's still not moving, please post the image here so I can test it. |

| It seems like most users offered their images for others so you can use them. Some aren't made by the people who posted them though. But most of those images can't be used as avatar anyway because they are too large. The restrictions are a maximum of 100px width 125px height file size smaller than 51 kb You first have to save the image on your computer and can then upload it here. |

| This is crazy, I legit cannot get my file size small enough to upload. The size dimensions meet the requirements, but even setting my gif to lowest, dirt shit quality where its not even worth saving, the file size is still 200+ kb. |

Maybe the program or converter you're using isn't good enough to reduce the file size of gifs. Some gifs have many individual layers as well which makes them really big. You could try to use a different converter or if that doesn't help as well you could ask people in the Creative Corner board for help. |

I tried optimizing it more, but it just got worse. It have 72 frames man, that's 10 times more than it should have, given you want a 100px x 125px gif. I strongly recommend you to get another gif or just make it smaller or optimize it more, but again it would suffer a lot in quality. You can reduce the frames if you want, but it wouldn't flow that well any more. Go to ezgif.com/optimize if you want a free optimize tool online. It's probably one of the best online. Edit: I somehow managed to reduce the size to 43 kB, I removed 48 frames and used several optimizing tools. Again as I told you it would loose quite a lot of the quality, which you will notice as it's not as smooth. 84 ms for each frame: ______100ms for each frame:  ____________ I had nothing to do, so I just did it, you can use this if you want or try to optimize it yourself, which is quite a bit of trouble, I spent around half an hour on this trying to get a good/decent result... Enjoy. |
