I haven't even seen the first one, and i don't think the first one is even out on dvd or subbed yet...i wonder what this is going to be about, hope it's not a retelling

If you read the description, you'd know that the movies are adaption of the TV series. The second movie will cover the rest of the story that was not included in the first movie.

Suggesting that that will give more explain what was not shown in the TV series.

Watched the show today in the cinema (Ikebukuro, Japan)

The details of the change is here, but it contains a lot of spoilers so if you don't wanna get spoiled for the movie, then it's best to leave it be.

Apparantly they made the last fight like half an hour! It's going to be unbelievably epic! Also, I've seen a pic of a giant ganmen with Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann in it's forehead! Will try and find the pic!
