This was a really good anime! I loved everything about it xD Glad that Haru came back!! The last episode was great, it concluded everything nicely. And as everyone says, Akira's ohmygod was amazing!
Thank you tsuritama for all the laughs! It was truly enjoyable. A solid 9/10 from me :)

Well, that was good. Not so superb in my opinion though. That last bit about them coming back didn't feel like a good ending. I'd rather they'd have stopped before they showed the classroom scene, and instead made an ova that they came back, after maybe a year or two. Urara is cute though. haha. Love the blue hair with pink undertones. :) But damn, he's a tiny fish. :))

Hmm... hard to rate the series. I enjoyed it, but the plot was a little off, if I may be critical. I like Yuki's character. It was a bit too much happy happy - good in a way - but the serious parts of this show did not gel well. Like it was half bipolar.

maybe 7/10...? or 8... hmm...

This show never got real serious which is great, the feel good ending was exactly what needed to happen. All the little charms this series had were so subtle and minute, it's hard to put into words, a very unique show indeed. It drove a hard line between shows that are playful but lag excitement, and shows that are weird just for the sake of "being weird." The music was more enjoyable than typical anime themes too.

Loved the anime! ^^ Great ending as well! I love it when they show how each character is doing in the future! Only thing that I didn't like is how they brought Haru back :/ I don't have anything against him, it just seems like they wanted to satisfy his fans, even if there was no reason for him to come back.

I was just wondering why he and the other guy came back without any explanation ^^;

A great series, so heart-warming and one of those which can always cheer you up ^^
Loved everything here: art & animation, really likeable characters, interesting story and an awesome ending ^^
So, it gets 10/10 from me, deffinitely my 2nd favourite anime this season <3

I've never seen anything like it and I'm glad I picked up this show. It was uplifting, delightful and a joy to watch.

I've even learned a thing or two about fishing too. I think I would have liked it better if it ended when the ED played because it's a perfect closing song. However, there is some warmth that comes with the return of Haru and Urara.

8/10. Eno, shima, don!

Because it's hilarious without having an awful story or characters, has beautiful art, and one of the best soundtracks out there?

I need to agree with Post-Josh that animation, art/graphics was something outstanding in this anime, but still this show wasn't something particulary good as it don't catch your attention too much (same with Hyouka) and you keep on pausing it.

it'd be great if the anime just focus on fishing, not turn into soft-core yaoi sh*t...

Are you homophobic? That's the only way I can possibly see this being called yaoi, if you think normal friendship is "sew gayy".

Exactly. I'm starting to get really annoyed with those comments "uh, gay, yaoi shit" for manga/animes with boys. It just annoying how a person automatically thinks that to be manly you have be a macho men or that's impossible for men to have a cute friendship. Dude, I have many friends who care for each other, support each other and hug each other, and that doesn't make them less manly.
Anyway, when it's the other way around, everyone is fine with cute girls doing cute things. K-On proves that! I know the fandom turned this anime into BL with a lot of fanarts, doujinshis and stuff, but if you stop and think: every damn anime has its own BL fandom, you can find BL doujinshis and fanarts for Toriko, KHR, Kaiji, One Piece...
Just stop it already. If you don't like it, okay by me, but please stop with those comments of "gay uh", because there are people who will not watch it just because they read that and it really bothers me when someone says "oh, now I know why you like it, so it's yaoi...".
No, it's about friendship, dumbass.

What do you mean? It IS focused on fishing. What have you been watching all along? Apparently you need to get your eyes checked. Was it because of Natsuki holding onto Yuki as Yuki was fishing? Or was it because of Urara's feminine personality?

As you know soft-core yaoi (or shounen-ai) as according to Animenewsnetwork:

"means "boy" and "love," which is exactly what shōnen-ai means, boy-love. It refers to anime and manga that focus on love and romance (as opposed to sex) between boys or men (typically bishōnen)."

Define which part of this show have any of this.
