We all have one. What is that one voice that just makes you want to cringe?

It can be either Japanese or English.

I like pretty much all of the Japanese VAs but Greg Ayres, (English va) can be a bit annoying.

Yukari's VA in Paradise Kiss. It has absolutely no emotion and when she whines, it's the most cringe-worthy thing ever. I almost don't want to watch the anime anymore just because of her voice.

I don't have a least favorite VA because there are so many that I don't bother to keep track of which particular voices I don't like.

As far as English VAs go, Monica Rial can be pretty cringe-worthy, but that's mostly when she's voicing young girls.

I guess I'll put in another vote for Greg Ayres.

Noto, Mamiko, her voice is always super low pitched. it is really annoying to listen to her. though her role in ZnT wasn't too shabby though.

I don't think I have a single voice actor that I don't like. As an aspiring voice actress I find it quite difficult to dislike someone's performance in the profession because it's really hard work.

I try to find a positive in all voice actors and so far it's been working. Haven't found any that I'm genuinely not a fan of. They all impress me one way or another. (even some of the most hated ones like Greg Ayres)

I don't think I do even English VAs.

I did hate the voice that Tomoko Kaneda gave that glasses chick from Myself;Yourself. I wanted to strangle that character. @_@

Konno Hiromi's voice makes me feel like strangling myself with barbed wire. Nothing against her skills as a VA though.

Whaaaaat, how can you guys not like greg ayres, his voice usually fits the kind of characters he voices.

I agree with you for all the same reasons. Even if I don't find a voice particularly easy to listen to, I won't blame the VA for it because it's the right voice for the character. I'm pretty easily impressed with virtually every anime VA out there. I can't think of a single one that's never been anything but brilliant in their roles.

I'd even feel guilty naming instances where I didn't like a voice. Usually the only time this occurs is when a rough/high-pitched/squeaky/etc. voice is actively found in the same scene as a smoother or calmer voice. Doesn't mean I dislike the VAs at all, though.

There have been some performances which were poor but I don't take note of who they are.

that said, try listening to the Infinite Stratos episode after Laura declares Ichika is now her wife in English dub. It's frickin hilarious, poor attempts at accents all round.

So I'm the first Kugimiya Rie hater, huh. Though I guess it's more the typecasting that I hate. If her character isn't a brat, I'll either like her performance or fail to notice it's her.
Oh yeah, and there was this one girl in Ef - a tale of memories. You know, the one without the memories. That voice was awful.

English: Lisa Ortiz.

Japanese: Ai Nonaka

Both are pretty shrill and high pitched, cringe-worthy voices. Both sound exactly the same every single role.

The english voices they picked are pretty cringe-worthy, I'm not saying the actors bad I just don't think they fit the characters at all....I don't know their names either...haha I fail.

I don't really watch much dubbed but for Subbed I have to say Yonaga, Tsubasa who is the voice actor for Sendou, Aichi for cardfight vanguard, I just can't stand his voice and I've heard his voice in other anime where I want to mute it.

Monical Real, Because she is everywhere and i'm tired of hearing her. Might as well go for Subs when she's a VA in any future anime. Ex on toonami she is in 3 shows in a row, DMW, Chasern, FMAB. She's annoying.

Almost every female VA who plays the teengage girl in Eng dub Anime. I can't stand most of the english VAs. I just can't.
If they're playing a mature adult woman or that one serious girl with a deep and mature voice, they're great, but Madoka, Karin, Elsie from the World God Only Knows....ugh, just ugh. It's like they're smiling every time they talk, no matter how serious the scene is, and it just irritates me.

I can't really hate on VAs. I can dislike individual performances or the characters they're voicing, but I just imagine that they're just doing their job.
