I enjoyed the series, i looked forward to watching the new episodes, the ending worked for me.

With all of that said i still can't give it higher than a 7/10.

I'm glad that they didn't spend the whole episode on "let's break up" stuff and actually made full of it. It was full of comedy, drama and cuteness. And that insert song... It's simply beautiful, probably the best insert song this year. I think they made a good job with the conclusion except for a few parts where Teiichi again acted girlish. Animation was top notch as well. It made me realize why I was looking forward to watching this show every week. I'll miss this show and Yuuko!
And slowly, you come to realize... It's all as it should be...

Human and ghost together <3
Just sounds so romantic :)

Last episode and ending was perfect, but still somehow I know that Yuuko will return and I will see great ending.

Teiichi x Yuuko forever <3

Honestly I was already starting to rage when she faded, but then...happy ending. Totally didn't see thar coming and I loved it. Also the ending was pretty open, so we should be optimistic about next season. Well anyway, the show was great and I'm glad i watched it.

I'm such a sucker for these kinds of endings, I loved it!

on a side note, how much does the manga differ from the actual anime? I need somethin to keep my eyes busy while I wait for season 2!

I love happy endings,
but honestly, in this case I would have prefered Yuuko to stay in Heaven.
That way the ending would have made a real impact and all the big fuss and melodrama that came beforehand actually had some meaning.

It's still a nice conclusion and leaves room for a possible sequel.

I also think it would have been a lot better without the final twist. The had already made a sad but beautiful (and logical) parting... oh well, still good, just not awesome.

While it would have made more sense if it had a sad ending, I hate sad endings, so I'm glad it ended stupidly happy. I think they should have gone another route though. I think it would have been an easy pill to swallow if the plot somehow involved Yuuko somehow reincarnating in Kirie's body via merging 'souls' or something. Would also have offered the Teiichi X Kirie crowd some satisfaction as well. Since Kirie and Yuuko are related and Kirie is open to the spirit realm and all, reincarnation would make more sense than Yuuko regretting not having a life with Teiichi somehow not keep her bound to the world, but kissing him did.

Great final episode. First the disappearance, then she's there again. I couldn't hold back my tears ^^
But I'm wondering if she's now still bond to the school or, since it's Teichi now why she "has" to stay here, she's now free to move wherever she wants to

sooo before this episode I had doubts to give this series something around 7/10 or 8/10
this episode cleared them... it was beautifull so I was able to forgive not the best one around the way (one before Yuuko's backstory to be precise)
I was even able to accept that she is gone being fine with it

and than came real ending...
9/10 as happy endings are what determines good story for me

Loved this anime. Beautiful amazing art, nice characters and the plot although not something amazing it was very well presented and wasn't bad.

I'm little conflicted about the end though. On one hand the ending finished with a nice happy note but on the other it seems a little cheap that suddenly the kiss kept her and just a silly excuse for the makers to avoid making some people feel sad. Not to mention it devaluates all the drama from before and their last moments.
Her disappearing seem more true as an end because of other reasons too. Like him having to stop going to school as he grows up and even getting old while she looks young.

^Like what I said earlier :
and I don't see how can a human be in a relationship with a ghost. It will never work . Even if it works, the relationship will be just temporary . Unless somehow she magically obtained a human body that ain't a skeleton/decayed . But no, I don't think that will happen

And yes, it felt as if the author employed a Deus Ex Machina to stop/avoid people from getting all emo against the series .

+1 for your detail explanation. Oh and btw , she's able to follow him anywhere now , not just n the school , but everywhere . But that does not solve his aging problem D:
Actually glad that nepal is facing disaster

When the insert song started playing and Yuuko was disappearing I kinda had tears in my eyes. it hasn't happened in a while while watching anime.
Happy ending took me a little by surprise, although when I saw the box saying "open it and I will curse you" my heart somehow knew/felt/hoped for what happened next. I kinda threw a fist up in the air, so happy I was. Although I'm not a biggest fan of 'unrealistic' happy endings like this one here, it actually felt nice.
I feel like I'm turning into a sentimental person lol.

Well I would say leaving it as a "Goodbye" would have probably made so much more of a better ending since it was quite beautiful and touching the way they parted ways, it created such a sentimental but heartbreaking moment which would of made it much more of an anime to remember. (What is the name of that insert song?!!! >_<)

Although then I would of had such a big hole in my heart and cry for like week after T_T lol. Nevertheless I still loved the happy ending, but I was totally expecting some sort of time skip when they would meet again =P

Loved the art, characters and enjoyed the moments <3 Yuuko + Kirie

Oh what the hell...this was so sad...dunno when I cried that much while watching anime. But then they don't have the balls and destroy everything by giving it such a BS-Twist. I'm seriously thinking about cutting out the last part and just go with the sad ending from now on.

I won't lie, part of me was happy for the end because

But I also just REALLY love happy ends!
It's about as 'Deus Ex' as Mirai Nikki's.

I honestly didn't root for Teichi and Kirie at all. They never really seemed to go together, seemed so one-sided. Same for Momoe and Teiichi. He loved Yuuk, and that's just how it was. it would have been heartwrenching to have him have to give up on Yuuko. Call it a 'bid to not let the audience be emo' all you want, but that could have just been the intent from the beginning. I also don't get how it ruins all the 'drama' from before.

I also am used to these sort of things, since in Shinobuden they pulled something similar. But, you're just happy because the relationship can develop more, it's no good when a pairing is torn apart forever.

At least, that's how I feel on everything.

I would have enjoyed to see more Momoe and Kirie interactions, but it's fine as it was. This was Teiichi and Yuuko's love story.

I agree with Yuuko passing on it would have been a much better end and it almost became such a end.
But they wanted a happy or open ending to this Anime i guess.
I disagree with the Teiichi Momoe part tho since i was rooting for Kirie so i was happing for a ending between Kirie and Teiichi.
And lets be honest and face reality here Teiichi is much better of with a living girl.

The thing i will miss most about this Anime are all the artistic scenes some where very nice and the gave a good impact to the Anime.

I really wanted my bittersweet ending. It was so close to being perfect. What's wrong of wanting a bittersweet ending?

I don't want them to milk the series for Season 2. It could've been perfect the way it is and I'll go back to the Manga and continue on.

Insert song was beautiful though.

I was a little cheesed off that they spent an entire episode about the feeling Teiichi and Yuuko had now that she was disappearing and slowly fading away only for the last few minutes to pull a 'Im back' out of nowhere. I felt a little cheated, that with no real and/or plausible explanation all the emotional sentiment of the earlier parts of the episode felt wasted.

Bah.

Such a beautiful ending.
There was no way of holding back the tears while Yuuko was disappearing. And then the farewell kiss... watched that particular scene with a heavy heart. So you can imagine how relieved I was when Yuuko came back. I literally screamed out in joy and kept smiling the whole time until the very end. Really, a beautiful anime.

Regarding the manga -- I quickly read the last few chapters and realized that it's a completely different story. Actually, no, putting it that way is wrong. It rather approaches the story from a different angle and handles the plot in another way. I'll take my time to read it properly by the upcoming weekend. The art is definitely pretty from what I can say so far.
