I just received my order of Baka and Test limited edition and one of the keep cases were broken on top, also the inside flap which holds 2 discs broke off. Im kinda pissed. So I ordered a replacement case. Has this ever happened to any of your orders? And which anime was it?

Yup. Ordered a copy of Project A-ko and the case was broken clean in half. It should be a requirement to ship DVDs in rigid packaging.

The plus side is they gave me a full refund, plus shipping, so all I had to do was order it again.

Only product I've bought from Japan is manga, so no. Not yet at least.

No, when I order anime DVDs online I always tick the box which says:

Kiddy Grade File 3.

Two DVD Holder, Side was crushed somehow and the flippy thing inside was broken off . A DVD {flippy one} inside was also popped off the hub and had been scratched to hell.

The company sent me a new DVD, I decided not to push for a new case as well since they didn't want me to send the DVD back.

It was odd since nothing else in the shipping box was damaged.

Wasn't really angry about it since I got free shipping, If I had gotten one of the expensive shippings I'd be a bit upset...

Um, no. Amazon has been kind on me until now, the same way other online shopping sites have.

Never. I only buy stuff I really like, and since most of my anime viewing is through digital streaming I don't really have the possibility of a cracked case.

Really not. Last week I bought two DVD of anime and the only defect I found is the video quality. Horrible. Download anime looks better.

Yes it happened to me once, however it was not with anime. I think they use just too cheap of packaging sometimes. Or perhaps there was just a really bad day at the post office. Alas, you wither deal with it or order a replacement. I usually just deal.

Yep Ruroni Kenshin from an HK based source! Since then only used Amazon and not had that happen again.

What show{s} were these? I'd like to make a point to avoid them.

Yes, it’s common for some DVD/Blu-Ray cases to be damaged in transportation. Even if you go to a local store that sells DVD’s/Blu-Rays you will find broken DVD/Blu-Ray cases. It’s a bummer that it happens; however, it’s a part shipping. I’ve had a couple of anime DVD’s and a couple of live-action DVD’s with broken DVD cases.
